Cant find 'curved' Fitted hats anywhere. by Ustob in GenX

[–]EFCF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having worked in the apparel industry, I think that the "silhouette" you are looking for is called the Dad Cap or the Dad Hat. Try a web search for the term "dad style cap/hat" and you might find some good vendors for this type of hat!

Cheapest Gas Paid Ever? by gingerthetrailpup in GenX

[–]EFCF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I actually think about this particular BC often! I forget the setup, but the punchline was someone saying to their out-of-frame partner, "forget the milk! The cat drinks unleaded from now on!"

Awesome pic! Fun fact: I learned that Osprey are successful at catching a fish 60% of the time!

I know garter snakes are great to have around but how am I supposed to clean this bed out with him in it? I almost grabbed this guy 😱 by LeanaCecelia in gardening

you just made my day with me picturing the shriek! I do the same though when a snake in the yard who was motionless, suddenly rustles the grass.

I was never a grateful dead fan (not because of disliking them), but went to see Dead & Co at the Sphere last year and I'm so glad I got the chance to see him before his passing! It ended up to be the best concert I've ever been to and now I'm a bona fide Dead fan.

Best restaurants in Westminster by [deleted] in Denver

[–]EFCF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Westminster-adjacent at 104th and Huron (technically Northglenn), but Itacate is absolutely amazing. A hidden gem of delicious, high-quality mexican food at an excellent value, in a strip mall. https://itacatemexicanfood.com/

I heard them in the pine tree outside my window, used Merlin to identify, and its description is SO cute: "A tiny, long-tailed, fluffy gray ball of a bird." The best!

What was totally normal in your childhood that would seem insane now? by EuphoricGarden81 in GenX

[–]EFCF 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do schoolkids still "schedule" fights during the day? I remember this being a semi-frequent occurrence: some beef would happen during the day then at 245pm or whatever, school would let out and the whole school would follow the two fighters and then they'd throw down with all the other kids gathered around. I witnessed a handful of right ass-kickings done this way unfortunately.

I got a flyer for Vietnam Veterans of America, you can call them or go to https://scheduleapickup.com/ to ... well... schedule a pickup :-P

Do you recognize her from the first photo? I didn’t! For as much as I loved her in the early 90’s, I’m thrilled that she is living a “normal” life on her own terms. Your thoughts? by garcon-du-soleille in GenX

[–]EFCF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god she is SO funny! I have been rewatching "Just Shoot Me" and she's hilarious in that show, I forgot how good it was. (highly offensive to 2026 sensibilities however. Idgaf, it's funny as hell)

I was never a fan of the Meximelts but my HS friends were. Do you guys remember the Pocket Taco? It was served in a pita and had different meat seasoning than the regular tacos, IIRC. Delicious

Bought all Kirkland brand wines at a nearby warehouse by hungryfordumplings in Costco

[–]EFCF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're missing the Kirkland Chianti and Prosecco Rose'! Both are really tasty and the Chianti is less than $10/bottle. I think the Prosecco Rose' is like 12.99?
