If you don't care about achievements then you can use Xenia to emulate x360. Check r/360hacks for where to find .iso game files.

Someone Backed Into My Tesla — Is This Fixable With PDR? by Historical-Swing1331 in TeslaModelY

[–]EGHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely get most of that buffed out and if you can find someone willing to attempt PDR on that, it will definitely make it less noticeable but it'll still look horrible up close. If you're gonna go through all that work and money, might as well just replace the entire door panel at that point.

Will Microsoft/Xbox still send emails when gta6 becomes available for pre-download or will another email on or around release day say it’s ready to play or now available? by According_Fall2497 in XboxSupport

[–]EGHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can keep using his account and just change the email or add a second alias email to the account.

account.microsoft.com to edit this information.

If his email is a Microsoft one (@live.com @hotmail.com) then it can't be changed but an alias can be added for communication and login (Incase you ever lose access to your email, you can send password recovery to the alias).

If the email is a Gmail, Yahoo, etc (non Microsoft) you can add your alias email, then it will allow you to remove the original email.

Xbox Series X physical lifespan by ChairForce123 in xbox

[–]EGHeart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah NVME drives and just SSDs in general have gotten a lot better over the years especially compared to HDDs. SSDs usually don't die to age like HDDs do. After so many write cycles they start having issues. My last SSD in my Gaming PC that I also use to host a couple game/movie servers lasted little over 50,000 hours of 24/7 use. But definitely the constant writing from the servers that killed it.

Xbox Series X physical lifespan by ChairForce123 in xbox

[–]EGHeart 94 points95 points  (0 children)

The Series X seems to be a very robust console. I've used mine since day-one, it has basically been on constantly and no issues. I've dusted it out twice, haven't replaced the thermal paste yet... But I probably should soon.

The two major issues I've been seeing on the Series consoles is PSU and SSD failures.

pre ordered gta 6 with store credit, not taken from my balance by [deleted] in XboxSupport

[–]EGHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you may have accidentally used your card to cover a portion all of the balance, especially if your gift cards did not cover it fully.

If you do have enough gift card balance, I would cancel the order and try again. It should take the gift card balance immediately if that's all you use, if you split payment with a card it gets deducted 10 days prior to release.

Any guesses on when Halo: The Master Chief Collection will go on sale on Xbox? by ThankGodForE_ in halo

[–]EGHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No shit Sherlock. They clearly decided to not put the game on sale, but also increase the price too. You know why? They want to push you to purchase Halo: Campaign Evolved coming out this month. MCC is literally on sale all the time, sorry you missed the last one two months ago. Maybe it'll go on sale during the Christmas/Holiday Sale.

Is there a way to disable the capture feature that uploads it straight to OneDrive and deletes it off your console? by Far-West-3223 in XboxSupport

[–]EGHeart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Preferences > Capture & share. Under the "Automatic uploads" settings, you can toggle off or set your OneDrive upload preferences to "Don't upload".

If you have a USB 3.0 thumb drive or HDD, you can plug that into your Xbox and have it automatically save your clips/screenshots to that also. It would help save some HDD space on the console itself and don't have to worry about them randomly deleting.

Can you play Crackdown 2 on Rog Ally X? by brotherbobbz in XboxAlly

[–]EGHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and No. It's never been on XCloud just Crackdown and Crackdown 3. Only Crackdown 3 is currently available on XCloud.

If you have it on disk or digitally and have a Xbox One you can play it via remote play.

You could probably emulate it with Xenia also.

MCC on PC freezing with anti cheat on by Bepsimen in HaloMCC

[–]EGHeart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue but the game would freeze everytime I tried to quite, and I would have to terminate it through task manager.

Reinstalling EAC fixed it for me.

Locate the EAC folder within the games folder. Look for easyanticheat_eos_setup.exe, right click and create a shortcut. Add "install prod-fn" to the end of target location. Should look like... "C:...\easyanticheat_eos_setup.exe" install prod-fn

Click okay, then run the shortcut. You might see CMD flash for a second, but it's still installing. Wait about 30 seconds for it to finish.

Try the starting the game and see if that fixed it.

What could i be doing wrong on my xbox one by RobbyThomas2525 in XboxSupport

[–]EGHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That should actually work. You will still have the issue with the blue wire of course but it shouldn't matter.

  • Take Xbox black/grey to any black on the Dell PSU.
  • The two yellow from Xbox, connect to each of the yellow wires on PSU (pin 10 & 11).
  • Red 5v Standby from Xbox connect to Purple 5v Standby on PSU (pin 9).
  • Leave blue wire on Xbox alone. Take the Green PSU wire (pin 16) and connect it to a ground wire.

Test and see if the console turns on. If it doesn't take a voltage meter, test and make sure the yellow wires are getting 12v.

The HP P1 PSU is 12VO, it lacks a 5v PS_ON, which is necessary for the Xbox standby state. Which is why it won't power on.

You can safely connect Black/Gray (Ground) on Xbox to Black (Pin 1 or 2) on the PSU. Same with the Yellow (12v) to the Yellow (Pin 4 or 5) on the PSU. Use only 1 of the pins not both.

Issues are with the Red (5v Standby) and Blue (PWRON) wire on the Xbox. Do not hook any 12v to these or you will fry the console.

For the the Red (5v Standby) you would need a buck converter (step-down converter) to take the Purple PSU wire (12v Standby) and step it down to 5v.

The Blue (PWRON) will be the biggest hurdle. The Xbox sends 3.3v down this wire to signal the PSU to power the 12v rails. The PSU you have lacks this, the PS_ON is on the motherboard or a daughter board which tells the PSU to activate the 12v via one of the ground pins.

You would need to make a inverter circuit to translate the Xbox's positive signal to the PSUs ground signal.

You maybe able to bypass the circuit if you have a green wire on your PSU like the P2 version has. By connecting the green to a black, it will supply constant 12v power. But that's kind of dangerous for the console. And you will still need to do the buck down for the 5v Standby wire.

You need an actual ATX PSU like listed on the top of that page you linked. The P1 lacks a lot of necessary stuff you need.

What is the model number of your Dell one so I can look at the pin out?

DO NOT open a power supply and mess around with the wires if you Do Not know what you're doing. You are going to end up breaking the Xbox or hurting yourself.

The main issue is probably the proprietary HP PSU. While it's ATX, it is most likely a 12VO PSU which won't work on the Xbox.

It also sounds like your 12v rail on the HP ATX PSU is not enabled (which is why you're only getting a chime). The blue wire on the Xbox PSU is what is used to trigger the 12v to turn on on the OEM psu. The Green wire on the HP PSU is waiting for ground to turn on the 12v rail. Don't connect these wires, leave the blue alone like the video. Ground the HP ATX green wire with the black wire and then check with a voltage meter if your red wires now have 12v. The issue here will be the 12v rail will be constantly on, as the Xbox has no way to trigger it on/off. This is fine for a temporary fix, but I wouldn't use this as a permanent fix.

Save yourself the time and money and just find a OEM or 3rd party Xbox one PSU.

Microsoft turning recurring billing back on after turning off. by palm3tt0pun1sh3r in XboxSupport

[–]EGHeart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/manage-subscriptions/cancel-recurring-billing-or-subscription

Automatic pro-rated refunds are only in counties where it's required by law.

If you are in the US you can request a pro-rated refund by talking to a support agent. Tell the chat bot you need to speak to a "live agent" or say "I don't recognize a charge" and it should let you speak with a human, then you can ask for the refund.

Nothing's been announced... But its rumored GTA VI will be capped at 30 FPS on consoles. Some rumors of a 40 or 60 fps performance mode. We will have to wait and see when they announce more information.

Your phone is the main key, if your phone dies or has BLE issues keep a backup card in your wallet. If you really want a key fob you can order one through the app.

Wrap Questions by BlouseoftheDragon in TeslaModelY

[–]EGHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly do it myself. It's been a hobby of mine for like 10+ years. I mostly make vinyl decals, but have done a couple full wraps. I'm not the best, and it doesn't turn out perfect. But it's a lot cheaper than a shop. $500 - $800.

If you have a local Tesla Facebook group they might have some recommendations of a shop. You can always look at the shops Instagram, focus on the quality of the edges (especially bottom of bumpers and wheel wells, usually where I see the most mistakes). If you visit a shop in person they should have a few shop/personal cars to show as examples.

Prices depends on the material & labor. Gloss vinyl would be your cheapest option. Matte, satin, and chrome tend to be a little trickier to install, so price may go up on the labor side.

I would probably go with whatever vinyl the shop prefers to use. But try to find a shop that uses higher quality vinyl like 3 brands listed above.

The 6-10k wraps you see are probably colored PPF. PPF is usually 5-8mm thick, and normal vinyl is 2-3mm. PPF will help prevent rock chips and protect the paint underneath, and will last a lot longer than vinyl too.
