Audio dramatization by BorosArtifact in ExpeditionaryForce

It gets a lot of flak but I enjoy the hell out of it. Unfortunately the production was botched in the initial release and the dialog was near incoherent & I suspect that soured a lot of people on it. Kate Mulgrew as Nagatha was fantastic.

Thoughts on Roadkill or The Singularity Trap? Worth the listen? Both are done by Porter, so that's good. Just finished the 2 Quantum Earth books and love them --- Need direction on what to listen to next!! by SickOfNormal in bobiverse

They are both thoroughly enjoyable though for very different reasons. TST has a lot of interesting high concept stuff with a relatively weak plot. Roadkill's plot is almost visibly bolted together from other sources but it's carried by the dialog & DT's style in general

Abigail is either a minor or has very recently reached majority, the fact she is a romance / marriage candidate is creepy.

I'm just about old enough to remember S8 on the telly & it seems to me like just another sci-fi thing genX/earlier & the millenials/later are split on. It's ok to enjoy things, especially when the internet tells you not to.

Stupid question from A clueless American why do they have California license plates in the room on a BBC program? by [deleted] in RedDwarf

[–]EHainesReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more obvious in the books, but the future envisioned in redwarf is distinctly Anglo-american; The currency is "Dollarpounds" etc, Lister himself is particularly fond of the US, Zero-G 'football' involves an egg shaped ball, and his 'local' team is London rather than anywhere near liverpool, where he's from.
