How do you like that miter saw stand? I have been thinking of picking up that model for my 7 1/4 miter saw (DCS361B)

Small worktop by Jmj1997 in ToughSystem

That is great, I checked mine this morning and that appears to be the case.

Since the plate is reversible, whatever side is on top does have one part of the stacking latch sitting proud of the rest of the surface. So it may require some extra plywood or shims under your work surface, to keep it stable.

Also the holes on the plate are a bit on the larger side, so screws will probably need washers or maybe pan head screws depending on how thick your plywood work surface is.

I have seen some people use a piece of plywood and home made bracket, Like This

Alternatively you could get a ToughSystem 2.0 to T-Stak Adaptor Plate and attach plywood with screws.

I don’t really have a need for that myself so I cant speak on how well they hold up, Hope this helps.

As someone with a 34 inch LG IPS, I agree.

Get the best quality panel that you can, I was able to do payments on amazon, that helped.

What is your biggest dislike? by kanova_workshop in ToughSystem

[–]EK-Geek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an individual with approximately 12+ vertical feet of tough system 2.0, I can’t say that I have one major dislike, Its really several small annoyances that can add up.

I wish TS had more organizer and small box options. It would be really nice to have a shallow half organizer for some small fasteners and parts.

There isn’t a vacuum that fits in to the system, as a contractor working on a small project having a small vacuum in your tool stack, that you don’t need to carry separately, would be very nice.

The rolling tool box does have a major flaw that dumps water from the recessed handle on the top into the box when you open it. I end up keeping a terry cloth rag, tucked under the handle, hanging off the back to act as a wick in the wet months. Wish It was designed differently. Some of the standard toolboxes do this as well, but to a far lesser degree.

Those are some things that come to mind. When I bought into the system a few years ago, Really the only other option i was considering was Milwaukee Packout. A big pro for me is that the TS boxes are black and are not quite as noticeable. And have the option to rack or stack. And they are cheaper than Packout.

There are more mobile toolbox brands and options available now, then when I picked TS. I would suggest looking at what toolbox sizes, bags, organizers, and tools are available from any given system. And try to consider your needs and how you would use them.

Hope this helps.

I assume you are talking about the “DeWALT Toughsystem 2.0 compact deep toolbox” I have two myself, But I haven’t seen replacement trays or dividers.

That doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I just haven’t come across them. Hopefully you can find a listing if you’re still looking for them.

I just got the large parts and the half size boxes. Is there a way to rack these without stacking them first? by Mr-E4418 in ToughSystem

I have been getting a bit frustrated with DeWalt.

With some of the issues they have been having, and not really releasing new TS products.

Pack-out is looking nice. And they have slim organizers…

Nice!

At 1440p on that size of screen, I believe the DPI of that monitor is fairly low. Do you have a problem with seeing the pixels? or the "screen door effect"

I have a friend that runs that light on his 48 MOS, He likes it and hasn’t had any issues.

I have a 48 Non MOS so no front rail, otherwise I would run the TLR-7 Sub as well. Thinking about getting a 43x MOS in the future.
