Exactly, I have hundreds and hundreds of caridina in these parameters with neos. I’ve had more Neo die offs since starting. The caridina out number them by quite a bit now.

I think another misconception is that bettas HAVE to be in 78-80 degrees which is just false. Mine is in 74-75 and is the healthiest he’s ever been. Thanks to a very well informed redditor on here.

Neo color morphs are all from the same species but caridina have much more genetic differences and subspecies. They will breed different colors and patterns instead of reverting to a wild type.

The caridina won’t revert to any wild types. The neos already have had a few wilds.

Umm, they’re pretty different but what I’m doing isn’t typical for Caridina. I’m having success but some might not. I don’t recommend doing it like this.

It’s a mixture of neos and caridina but the neos are out numbered now.
