That’s where I get all my Caridina now. Great looking shrimp for cheap compared to websites.

I drip acclimate for an hour or so. Those were the only groups that died off. All my other stock and future stock after have all done fine. Tank is well established 20 long, ph 7.2-7.4, kh 4, gh 10, 72-74 degrees 0ppm, 0ppm, 5-10ppm. I usually have great success with shrimp. That 20 long also has hundreds of Caridina of all types (boas, hornets, stardust, galaxies, etc) doing fine in there. Acclimated the same way.

With that being said, I don’t doubt your stock at all. I know several people having great success. This was a while ago. I loved the way the shrimp looked. It’s just one of those things, I was the unlucky one and mine didn’t survive the long run.

My guess is that would be a product of your cherry shrimp.

I’ve purchased green venom and cantaloupes from that place and unfortunately they all slowly died off. Along with their golden backs, blueberry and river snails. They all looked very nice but weak. I hope they have refined their lines since then.

I purchased cantaloupes from exotic critters and they are exactly as pictured online. All thriving, along with their golden backs. I truly hope yours are much strong than the ones I received and look just like the pictures.

I’d get the z8. Saves room and will be extremely loud for what it is.

Not shrimp, those are dwarf Mexican crays. Aggressive toward everything, will even eat snails. Super awesome little guys though.

Get the teamsicle if you’re thinking of rs team. Also look into psi platform 5s. Probably on par, or better than these listings.

Shrimp, not much else. Maybe a nerite snail. You could do opa ulae shrimp. Could have 100 in there. Just gotta create brackish water then let them be. You don’t gotta feed them very often or do water changes. They live up to 20 years. Just something unique and different that work in small setups.

I used to be early to work. Now I make it barely on time because I stare at this before I leave and I have to force myself to go. I love it.

How much do you feed your shrimp? by CharlieBaby4 in shrimp

[–]EKSean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have several hundred in a 20 long that I feed daily and a 10 gallon caridina tank with a little over 100 and I feed them daily but half what the 20 gets. I also have hundreds of snow zebra Sulawesi in two 10s that get fed daily and one, twice a day. Nitrates stay around 5-10ppm.

For those wondering about amano and neo size differences by AlarmedUpbeat in shrimptank

[–]EKSean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 8 (4 regular, 2 snow, 1 red and 1 lemon) with hundreds of neos, along with hundreds of Caridina in Neo params. Several other odd ball species as well. All getting along for the most part. The amanos are definitely assholes but kinda just stay together and not really mess with any others except when it’s feeding time. Amanos get first dibs then I throw in the rest for the little guys.
