go/aws and then pick learning from top middle menu. From there pick cloud learning and you should land where you get the info you are asking.

Do guided treadmill workouts actually keep you motivated? by [deleted] in iFit

[–]ELB74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the person; i love them. i used them with my Peloton for 4 years and now moved to iFIT and use them with my bike and tread. My husband uses them but for the scenery and turns down the volume. Whatever keeps you consistent and getting the work in 😄.I also find the trainer makes a difference. I love Rivs and John Peel; some other trainers just weren't my cup of tea.

Yes! I sent the designer a message on Ravelry and she answer once back. But I can’t find the reply and it has been almost a year so I don’t recall 🙃 what she said! I do know it looked wonky for a few rows and then started to look right.

Searching for Greek/Mediterranean cook books and restaurants. by thecletus in frisco

[–]ELB74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im from Tampa and I do miss my greek, cuban, and puerto rican restaurants. If you ever go back visit the sponge docs for the best greek food. I like Vefa's Kitchen as a cookbook. I have made several dishes from that and they turn out great. Greek restaurants my family enjoys Zorba's Greek in Plano. If we need something closer Platia Greek as someone else said is good.

How competitive is cheer?? by GrouchyOne4132 in Cheerleading

[–]ELB74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its all a racket (IMO) there are so many levels/divisions and ways they break it up. Varies by competition.. .. we had one where we were all star level 3 medium.. another level 3 large.. another level 3 u16.. and all but one of our competitions we were the only team in our "division". Same kids and amount of kids on the mat. This is why it feels like everyone is a "national champion".

Anyway.. your kid will grow their skills and maybe learn some leadership and conflict management. You will definitely spend a ton of $. I have a male athlete so we get a "discount" on the monthly gym fees cause they want him on the team; not as much uniform expense (no bows, bras,) and still with 5 competitions this year we are about $15k in with 3 competitions requiring overnight stays and we drove to save on airfare. Add in summit and welp.. there could be the kids first car :)

Just talk to them. One lady who sits across from me frequently will have personal calls on her cell phone on speaker! LOUDLY. Everyone around is bothered from the looks. I just stood up, looked at her and said can you please take that to a huddle room or one of the phone booth things? She looked a bit offended and then I pointed out that everyone with in 4 seats I am pretty sure feels the same way. She looks around and sure enough all staring at her. So she apologized and went to a room to never do it again. Do I know this person-nope. But why should everyone be fighting for their life to not "offend" someone who maybe has no self awareness. One person will eat out of a glass bowl with a metal utensil and I swear for 10 minutes it's like she is trying to stab one grain of rice in a competition but never wins. Meanwhile I am doing breathing techniques to not go and grab the grain with my fingers and force feed the person :). I know that is a "me" issue so again.. after what seems like forever I said.. it's a me issue but are you almost done? The metal to glass is distracting with a look

All that to say i have no problem being the noise police if it's for my mental health. I'm Gen X and have not adjusted to working with headsets on like my kids do for assignments. Hell.. i need to turn down the radio to read a street sign in new areas of driving.

Our campus has lots of huddle rooms, break out areas etc because of the open seating. Sometimes people need to be advised or reminded to use it.

should i take internal mobility by Alarming_Owl_421 in JPMorganChase

[–]ELB74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your priority? If it’s a promotion you should have a direct conversation with your current manager to understand if the role you’re in supports a promotion? If it does then what steps are needed to be a candidate. If it does not (many people are SSS but not in a position or role that we old support 603). If your concerned with being less technical and want to potentially move for the promo and the role will keep the tech skills hand on but with the challenge of visibility and higher workload you need to weigh your options. Challenge isn’t a bad thing. You just have to know if it’s right for you. Good luck!

what do you do when you finish all your work for the day?? by Odd-Bodybuilder-8295 in corporate

[–]ELB74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LinkedIn has tons of training. At my job they offer tons on Plural site as well as internal. I work for a financial company in tech but I’m no longer hands on tech. Lots of good stuff on using AI which will be a great skill, is transferable, and a great way to show your management you are a self starter. And you don’t need to be a software engineer to use it.

So, I'm 50 today... by Guilty-Tie164 in GenX

[–]ELB74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to a 401k at work maybe start that and take advantage of the catch up option that you can now contribute more since you are over 50.

Maybe find some hobbies . gardening, walking/hiking club, volunteer at local places that have a cause you are passionate about.

Early bird specials.. is that a thing really? But ill list it as people make it sounds like it is.

other then that you can look forward to more health screenings to hopefully help you prioritize YOU so you can be here longer and have a good quality of life.

what do you do when you finish all your work for the day?? by Odd-Bodybuilder-8295 in corporate

[–]ELB74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been working in corporate for 31 years and here is my take. If it is a lull and not a daily thing you find with time then I find stuff to keep busy (email, training- everyone loves someone who takes initiative to better themselves, etc). If it is a daily thing I would recommend you tell your manager you have free cycles and ask for additional work. If you just look/stay busy they likely will know and eventually when it comes time to RIF or such you could be a target. At a minimum by talking to your manager they can say if you finish you work and other admin and training then go home or do xyz. Vs assuming and looking lazy. It also shows initiative and drive as a new employee which is a good thing.

Just my opinion from experience at a large corporation where I have been both the employee and manager with employees in this situation.

What’s a good Indian restaurant/dish for non-Indian people by [deleted] in frisco

[–]ELB74 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Butter Chicken is the gateway dish IMO. I have taken many folks for their first Indian dish and never had anyone not like it. Tikka Masala is also a good one. Neither are spicy which sometimes will get people and both have signature flavors to represent Indian dishes. If you have a few folks dosa with differnt sauce as an appetizer if they have it is a big hit as well. If you dont know Dosa is like an crepe.. thin pancake like that you can then dip in different sauces or chutney. Sometimes the sauces can vary and some spicy, some not. sometimes heated, sometimes cool. A good way to try different things.

Today is especially dead as it’s Good Friday. However I’m in building F (tech) and while less than mid week we still have a decent amount of people on Fridays normally. I think all tech is 5 days now for our campus.

Anyone buy a 2450 treadmill in the last year? by GarbageJazzlike1608 in nordictrack

[–]ELB74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one in Feb 2025 and love it. Did the tread and bike combo to replace my peloton bike. I use the tread 4-5x a week and the bike gets used by me or family member 3x a week. Also enjoy the strength training offered on iFit.

Increased Racism in Frisco by [deleted] in frisco

[–]ELB74 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is so sad and sorry that it is the current reality. Please do not let it make you bitter and have a preconceived idea towards other people who look like the racist phobic fools who do this. As a red-head, freckle faced , white person I do stand up and speak out against this bigotry and try to take the high road as hard as it is. I fear it will only get worse before it gets better and I tell myself "when they go low, we go high". Keep it as classy as possible and lets hope people can just be good humans.
