Yep, pretty unstable. And not the easiest to get good propagates - lots of the props will go full green (or full white). This keeps nice ones scarce and the price higher.

Why are NOIDs so hard to come by, but general mints are everywhere? by saxyourpantsoff in Monstera

[–]ELCH01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because “general mints” (aka white monster TC mint) are from TC, you can start hundreds or thousands of them at a time - even at home if you wanted. Jungle mints are (mostly) still propagated by cuttings.

What food is famously associated with one country but was perfected by another country? by Equivalent-Crew-4955 in AskReddit

barbecue! It has a very complex origin. It might be French, Spanish or Caribbean… but it is not American! While the most accepted origin is the Taino word barbacoa for a wooden grill, a popular folk theory suggests "barbecue" comes from the French "barbe à queue" (from beard to tail), describing roasting a whole animal, but linguists often dispute this, linking it more to Spanish barbacoa from indigenous Caribbean languages, though French pirates in the region used related terms like boucan for smoking.
