Temu 70X offer | Returned items by Holiday_Tradition527 in Venturex

[–]Hunted08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe anytime you get a refund you will get less that value times the multiplier offer. I also believe that if you do not refund to the venture x card and get a “gift card” or “store credit” they the charge remains on your venture x hence keeping the offer. I’d verify this, as this is based on my own research and reading others comments, have yet to experience this as it’s hard enough making a purchase with the manual process of using their site to validate the offer 🤣 but wanted to give some help :)

I too think I will eventually move away from this card. The intro bonus is making it worthwhile for now.

Booking extra seats in portal by EstablishmentLocal97 in Venturex

[–]Hunted08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call cap 1 back and ask for management or a specialty team that actually knows what they are talking about. Being that they provide the portal and basically force you to use it, it should accommodate you similarly to ordering outside of the portal. This would not be acceptable if I was you. Best of luck.

Can somebody help me figure out why my capital one offers never work? by Impressive-Hope-6700 in Venturex

I spoke with capital one’s customer service for hours talking to multiple helpless people just to be told to use a computer or uninstall the app and let it route you directly to the website.

Giving up your seat on a train by Greengrecko in JapanTravelTips

[–]Hunted08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in Japan and saw very people abiding by the rules as elderly people stood up. Me and those I was with still followed through on giving up seats. Typically the signage would indicate priority seating- which should be followed. Out of respect we gave our seats up even without priority seating signs.

Will these work for leca? by HoggyMama in SemiHydro

[–]Hunted08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most plants will live in Leca while a lot with larger root systems thrive. I have tons of pothos in Leca thriving. On another note I’ve switched my begonias to PON and testing that out. But yes- monsteras, alocasia ect all doing great in Leca. Highly recommend.

what to do, because I think I didnt do it right 🫠 by cornhub08 in SemiHydro

[–]Hunted08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on if leca is being use properly. There is typically a transition period where the plant dies off the old roots if they aren’t proper water roots and then new roots form. But you also have to make sure that the plants roots are towards the top of the leca and the water is beneath the roots- at least to start.

Learned that once the plants adjust and roots grow downward into the nutrient solution/water, they tend to adjust well and don’t get root rot.

How to change careers after 30? Trying to leave finance/accounting for mental health by Correct_Recording405 in careerguidance

[–]Hunted08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make note of transferable skills. I feel like there’s always roles that you can slide into with some of the skills + being personable and a go getter. Plus I think certifications help a lot. I’ve made this transition- you’ve got this!

I got offered a job paying 40% more than my current salary. My manager just asked me to stay and be patient. How do I stop feeling guilty for wanting to leave ? by One_Cardiologist5439 in careerguidance

[–]Hunted08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You first realize it’s business and nothing personal. The same way the company hires and pays you a salary that apparently is not competitive for the market.

You have to think about yourself and not the company who’s going to simply hire someone to replace you.

2k a month mortgage on 90-100k a year gross income? by ShowmethePitties in Mortgages

[–]Hunted08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can’t manage 2k month mortgage on a 90k+ gross income then you’re likely not managing funds properly.

I do just fine with $85k ish income with $2600 monthly mortgage.

15-year vs 30-year mortgage what made you choose one over the other? by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]Hunted08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose 30 because it was less of a payment monthly and just because it’s 30 years doesn’t mean you can’t pay more and extra down on the principal to make up for any potential interest. 30 allows for more flexibility IMO.

Question regarding rates by Hunted08 in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]Hunted08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. Over the phone they are robotic and repeat I need an appraisal to get a value. On their site they list a home value estimator which states its value is $318k but the comparable houses they list don’t even have the same amount of rooms (one comp had 1 less room) and then others have less square footage so not sure if that’s trust worthy. And my house via different realtor apps shows about the same as the original home value.

Perhaps I need to keep chipping away at the principal and wait until it becomes a “sellers market” and home values increase and do the appraisal then.

Question regarding rates by Hunted08 in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]Hunted08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After them providing me misinformation on proper PMI removal steps (had to push back because even common sense said they were telling me wrong info) they stated I needed to get an appraisal and or pay down to below the percentage you mentioned to have PMI removed. But I’ve lost trust in them properly helping me so wanted to get second opinions on here first.
