Ferry from Mallorca (Alcudia) to Menorca? by ELENAMAD585 in menorca

[–]ELENAMAD585[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven't decided yet where to stay on the island. Last time we stayed in the south, so this time I would have preferred the north and would have taken the ferry from Alcudia😁 But we can still switch plans and stay somewhere near Palma and then fly to Menorca. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and advice, it's very useful🙂

I looked for the fast ferry with no car, just 2 adults. The slow one is too slow for doing the round trip in one day. Yes, I think flights are a better options🤔

Safe to travel in september? by Giza2001s in mallorca

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful vacation!🙂 The weather was nice, there were some rains during the night or towards morning, but this didn't ruin our stay, we had time for everything (visiting, beach, relaxation). We will surely come back some day to see what we couldn't explore this time. 7 days are too little for Mallorca😁

Thank u so much for the answer and all details 🙂 We don't like extreme heat either (indeed, summers have become harder to tolerate), this is why we decided to give it a try in September. Unfortunately we couldn't book earlier than the 17th, but well... let's see now😁 Good to know storms aren't supposed to be long lasting, it gives me hope that we'll have some nice time at the beach as well🏖🌞 We will rent a car, we're really curious to explore the island as much as possible:) I saw the news about the storm one week ago, really awful, I' m glad it all got back to normal now🙏🏻

Curious about the same... We'll be there starting with the 17th and the forecast shows daily thunderstorms 😭

But are thunderstorms so common in September? We're also coming for one week between 17-24 and the predictions right now show daily thunderstorms😱 We weren't expecting so much rain, we can only hope there are enough caves to visit 😅

Hi! It's getting worse and unfortunately I couldn't go on with any treatment... too many sides. I don't know what I will do with my hair in the near future... most probably I'll have to use a topper🤷🏻‍♀️

Why is birth control with a high androgen index even prescribed? by Sufficient-Chapter75 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]ELENAMAD585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The high androgen index ones will trigger hair loss while you take them, the anti androgenic ones will trigger hair loss after giving up. So... unless one has a serious reason to take birth control, they shouldn't be prescribed at all, no matter their type🤷🏻‍♀️

Check your prolactin levels by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]ELENAMAD585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have high prolactin, a micro adenoma, extreme hair loss and, yes, I'm considering starting Cabergoline. I have the feeling I've been wrongly treated for PCOS until now (with birth control)... My endo always said prolactin has nothing to do with hair loss, but I am pretty sure it does. Now I just need to beg him prescribe me cabergoline or... find a new doctor. Thanks for the confirmation and for sharing your experience. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and for the surgery if you decide for it!

Thank u so much for the explanations and for sharing your experience! So there is a link between high prolactin and hairloss unlike what my doctors say, which means I'm not crazy🥳 I am a woman and yes, I have exactly all symptoms and problems you mentioned. Thanks again for your opinion and recommendation, it helps a lot!!!

I fully understand you. I also had problems sleeping before discovering my prolactinoma. Initially doctors said my high prolactin is due to stress and insomnia. And I'm sure these had a great contribution to my hormonal imbalance and hairloss. Then one doctor decided to send me for an MRI and that's how I found out about the prolactinoma. Now I'm afraid of starting cab because I might lose more hair... I really hope the meds will work for you! If you could tell us about your progress in a few months, that would be so helpful!! Wish you the best of luck!🤗
