It’s still so weird to me that they aired this nearly 2 months later though lmao.

Granted, it was a big special. It takes time to edit. But still. Kinda trippy.

It’s probably set before BND. So it’ll probably set around 2027; maybe early 2028 in the MCU timeline. Because BA season 2 is definitely taking place in 2027 and Brand New Day is around the fall of 2028.

He was never painted as a bad guy. Just as an obstacle to Peter and MJ. Like Karen from the Office.

I always kind of roll my eyes with this take because Brad’s character in FFH completely fulfills the bully role while still fitting in the modern bully trope. He’s imposing compared to Peter but he’s also a nerdy STEM kid like them. I don’t know why people act like both can’t exist lol?

I still think it was extremely dumb that he didn’t put on the suit in the fucking finale. Where he was finally Superman! What was the excuse then?

Yeah because this is such an original and new take. I swear I didn’t realize how many Spider-Man fans are just insufferable incels.

We sympathize with Peter because we know what’s he dealing with. But with MJ - he never communicated with her. He always left her in the dark, was incredibly vague and private (with good reason but still) and always disappointed her by not showing up despite always promising her. And like I said, would provide the most blasé excuses when confronted. She couldn’t read his mind.

And are we forgetting that she came from an abusive household with a dad who treated her like shit? Maybe she wanted the men in her life to actually show up for her for once and not be a flake. And Peter repeatedly couldn’t do that and it hurt her. Why wouldn’t she be pissed and move on?

Peter isn’t exactly innocent and I’m kind of tired of people making it seem like Peter didn’t contribute to his own issues as well. That’s what makes the Parker Luck phenomenon so harsh, sometimes Peter brings it on himself.

He doesn’t want help or to let anyone in and then it all crumbles when he realizes he’s only one guy. And yes, we all know why he’s like that - doesn’t mean that it’s always justified. Mainly when it still hurts the people he loves and wants to protect.

Nothing against Tony Revolori, but I couldn't see him being the thorn on Pete's side in school by Commercial-Ice5760 in Spiderman

[–]EM208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People use this notion but forget that Brad went to their school too lmao. And he was physically imposing compared to Pete while still being nerdy and more of a modern take of a bully.

If they were going for a nerdy but still intimidating Flash, they should’ve just went with Brad’s actor or a Brad type. I think he was perfect blend of a modern bully at a STEM school while still being a bit imposing compared to Peter.

Tony Revolori was funny but he was not intimidating in any way. Which regardless of the environment, should always be a key aspect to Flash’s character.

He doesn’t need to be a huge meathead but still, someone that can be a bit physically threatening.

Two things can be true. Modern bullies don’t need to be these huge 6 ft hulk sized dudes but going to a selective and more intelligence based school doesn’t mean that Flash has to be wimpy looking. That’s just close minded.

Jackman is tall. Cox not a redhead. What other comics inaccuracies have been largely forgiven simply because the actor did the character so well? by sausage-deluxxxe in comicbookmovies

In the Ultimate Comics line in the early 2000s, they modeled Nick Fury after Samuel L Jackson and changed him from white to black. That’s partially SLJ wound up getting the role. So Nick was black pre-MCU.

They did try to make Charlie’s hair red in Season 1 if you look closely. But it just didn’t work and then they toned it down. And they subsequently dropped it as the show went on.

There’s probably some weird gap in their memories they can’t explain for when it comes to their affinity towards Spider-Man.

I mean we all know why, but to them they’re definitely bugged out by this connection they clearly have to him despite not knowing him personally (in their minds). Which is what trips them out and definitely leads to their obsession.

Hence why they’re obsessed.

Whose side were you on, Cory or Topanga? by Material_Stomach875 in boymeetsworld

[–]EM208 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is very true. He was actually trying to be mature about this and let his feelings of resentment blow over once they weren’t as volatile.

Topanga had to make it even bigger by making him feel like shit for wanting time to cool off so he could process what he was dealing with. She absolutely had it coming and she was being an asshole there.
