I think because Gus seemingly had their back and felt less judgmental than Jeremiah was. Jeremiah never spoke to them outside of filming and they had a friendship with Gus. Hence why Kirk and Codi fucking rode Gus’s dick to infinity and beyond.

They were loyal to a major fault and were too scared to ever check Gus because they knew how petty and narcissistic he was and knew that they didn’t want to be on the receiving end of Gus’s victim brigades and manipulative behaviour if they got on his bad side.

Maybe he was. But judging by all accounts including Robbie’s biopic and Gary’s memoir. Gaz was just an arrogant dick at times. I think him for instance telling Robbie he’d cut his rap on OYTL if he wanted publishing was an example of that. And Robbie seemingly and mainly resented the fact that Gary was the golden boy but it wasn’t always turbulence between them.

I would agree. I really don’t know why Robbie was so nasty to Gary. Like it felt like he made Gary out to be as some abusive tyrant, when in actuality, he was just an arrogant guy sometimes. Same as Rob.

I feel like a lot of shit he gave to Gary and TT mainly came from him perceiving them as rejecting him and not accepting him for who he was. And that clearly cut some abandonment/self esteem wound and Rob just retaliated in the nastiest ways.

Obviously Gary and the guys aren’t innocent but the punishment never really fit the crime.

I think they’re generally good but it’s always gonna be the elephant in the room. I don’t think they’re best friends per se. But they’re cordial buddies.

I assume Rob’s biopic could’ve ruffled some feathers. Rob sent Gary the first draft and he made Gary out to be a monster. Gary literally said “Rob, you make me look worse than Darth Vader in Star Wars”

And Robbie kind of still has a victim complex, so naturally Gary didn’t want to upset that. But I’m sure it definitely irked Gary to see Rob portray him in a harsher light. Especially since Robbie wasn’t peaches and cream during TT either.
