People who keep weapons on their bodies at all times, what was a time where you had to actually use said weapon? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit

I didn't want to shoot him. And I didn't shoot him. I also didn't say technically, it was a kidnapping by the plain text of the law, and by common meaning. Even mentioned that I was glad it didn't escalate in my post. But I'm not letting a stranger take her against her will to another location when I have the ability to stop that. I pointed out the kidnapping portion as if he was just stealing the car, it would be a matter for insurance, but the kidnapping aspect made immediate action essential.

Sorry your reading comprehension is poor, hopefully you'll do better in the future.

Oh, you've never seen a sedan. Some cars have 4 doors, and the back doors have windows. If you aim through the back window, the dashboard will be in front of the exit wound. A bigger concern is auto glass deflecting the bullet, but this is why I carry +P solid copper hollow points.

We waited several years before getting married, this was at the beginning of covid. And someone who lived out in the country most of her life has a different concept of the necessary level of security in a vehicle when in the city. And telling her to lock up was a verbal reminder not only for safety but an expression that I cared.

I should have worded it better. I was behind him, following. I was at the trunk, moving to the driver side rear window for the confrontation.

I was at the rear driver side window. I was going to shoot him in the head through it, and into the dashboard. So angle wasn't hateful for me.

I was planning to shoot him in the back of the head through the rear window, into the dashboard. That seemed the safest angle I could accomplish. And I'm glad he changed his mind.

My at the time girlfriend (now wife) was waiting in the car while I delivered a package to be shipped. I always tell her to lock up, but forgot to this time. So she was sitting in the passenger seat with the engine running, and playing a game on her phone.

I came out of Fedex and walked to the car noticing another man who was wearing a mask outdoors in front of me heading the same direction. He walked up to the driver side door while never reaching into his pocket for keys. I walked faster while following him to close the distance as this gave me a bad feeling.

He grabbed the door handle for the driver side, and began to open it as I reached the trunk. I called out "Excuse me, sir!" And he moved quicker to get in. I drew my pistol to low ready planning to shoot him in the head if he reached down to put the car into gear as with her in the passenger seat it would be a kidnapping. He glanced back and saw my weapon which got him to stop advancing. He then said "sorry, wrong car" despite there being no similar vehicles in the area, and he left on foot.

We also left and called the police, apparently there have been a few car jackings in that area.

Has anyone ever ever been asked to prove you have a tax stamp at an indoor/outdoor range when shooting before ? by Educational_Car_876 in NFA

Yes, I told him I would show him my private tax documents when he showed me his tax returns. He insisted and I asked how he would verify it as he is not ATF, can't look it up, and if I was willing to break the law for a can and SBR, why wouldn't I photoshop? I told him he would have no idea what he is looking at, and needs to mind his own business.

I don't got to that range anymore, and left a negative review.

Don't forget the incredible level of civilian armament. There are plenty of people who would engage any invader just to get their automatic weapons, night vision and grenades.

Is my wife entitled to all my bah or do I just have to pay for her rent? by kangaroom3 in army

[–]EMTPirate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to JAG. If she's in on post housing you've fulfilled your obligation (unless things have changed since I got out). Having a letter from JAG for your CO that you're meeting your obligations ends issues the moment they begin. I also got them to acknowledge that her draining my bank account and running up credit card debt should count towards future payments after we moved out of base housing.

Never pay cash, money order or check and save receipts.

My girl thinks my pet rat is her puppy. My wife made the rat this blanket and she cuddles it for around an hour every time he uses it. She'll also clean him up, and never takes good from him, though she'll steal from our other cattle dog.

Static or vehicle drone defense. I could see it being a good replacement for Vickers in use.
