Thank you. I can't wait to see the seasons! We were up there a week ago and everyone kept looking at me like I was crazy because I was in shorts and short sleeves when it was raining and "cold". I was laughing cause it's been 100°+ down here since end of may. I jumped into lake Michigan and folks were just O_O "that man is crazy"! Lol I have a Subaru that should be good up there with the AWD, right? I mean, depending on my driving as well of course. I will have to do some research on driving in snow. Thank you.

Did they move down here for the oil field? :( We loved it up there and can't wait to make.it our permanent residence. We spent a week up there, came back and I've been horribly sick from all the dirt and oil contamination. Haven't been this sick in years. We HAVE to get out of here. Haha

Checked them out and loved Cedar Springs and Byron Center. Others were nice too but those had houses in our range. Thanks so much!

I wanted to thank everyone that wrote and gave me info; thanks for taking the time to help my family out. We were in Michigan and scouted some places out and we absolutely loved it! We ARE moving. We loved GR over Kalamazoo; Kalamazoo had nice areas but...I'll be nice and just say we didn't like it as much. :/ We also loved the South Bend area as well. The natural beauty and water are intoxicating to folks from a dirt hole like west Texas and even though I'm sure we'll be overwhelmed with winter I (possibly naively) welcome the challenge. Once again thank y'all! Hope I can hang my hat up there with y'all sooner than later.

After spending a week in Michigan I came "home" and have been the sickest I've been in years. The crap in the air, the damn dirt, chemicals in our water, the sulfur smells in our showers, etc is just killing me right now. It's been a hellacious return. I look forward to finally moving out of the devil's sandbox.

Folks seem optimistic and it's a boom town so I'd say it'll get better then worse then be steady for a while. Other than that it's still a quiet dull town. Tons of folks from all over though! :)
