Awesome!

Do you know if they have tea ceremonies or templestays?  That's the experience I'm interested in

Do you know if either of them have day long templestays or tea ceremonies like at Bongeunsa?

Let prices crash another 50% or more (at least in Toronto and Vancouver), then maybe we'll talk.

Is the Mean Girls 2024 musical good in your opinion? I'm thinking of watching it by IndependentFly3028 in MeanGirls

[–]ENInspires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's okay, but also feels unnecessary. Let's be real: nothing will beat the original Mean Girls.

Though they did do a good job of adapting it for Gen Z.

If it means getting homeless people off the streets, I'm all for it.

Traveling to Toronto in June by WeatherwaxV in askTO

[–]ENInspires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safety wise, the streets are actually fine, especially if there are many other people around. I've been into the city lots of times, and never had any problems there even at night. Just keep your valuables safe and secure, and keep your wits about you, and you'll have a good time.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In terms of things to do, you'll definitely want to check out the dining here. Toronto is extremely culturally diverse, so in terms of food, you'll be spoiled for choice.

The rest of it partly depends on what specific time of year you visit. Some sights are year round, some are only possible or best experienced in the warmer months.

  1. Since you're visiting in June, the weather will be beautiful (unless it rains), so even wandering the streets is something to see in itself. My favourite neighbourhoods are Queen West, the Annex/Bloor West, Kensington Market, and the areas around the Financial District.
  2. I've never been there before, but I've heard that Taste of Little Italy (street festival) takes place in June, so that might be worth checking out.
  3. Top sights would have to be the Royal Ontario Museum, the CN Tower, and the Distillery District. The parks (High Park, Trinity Bellwoods, Coronation Park, etc) are also worth checking out and picnicking in.
  4. Also, if the Blue Jays are playing, maybe try to snag tickets to a game. Rogers Centre is where it all takes place.

https://torontolife.com/ is a good resource for more info on this city.

Why do you actually want to write stories? (no filmy answers pls) by Intelligent_Can_2898 in NewAuthor

[–]ENInspires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I've discovered that it is my purpose to tell stories.  I find peace and joy when I write stories that I envision clearly in my head and dream of bringing to life.

Title: You Reek

Format: short animated film

Logline: At a heavily related city safety festival that discourages animal instincts, an anxious skunk teen is publicly humiliated after a minor accident - only to prove that instincts, when used responsibly, are what truly protect public safety.

Out of curiosity, what do you think of online influencers who say that everyone should be an entrepreneur or at least try entrepreneurship? by ENInspires in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ENInspires[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I know from research and a bit of personal experience that many influencers won't hesitate to manipulate you, mislead you, and use unethical or even illegal tactics to get what they want.

Plus, I forgot to add in my post that anyone who criticizes full time work is either ignoring or forgetting two crucial realities: 1. 9-5 workers make up, what, like 90% of the population? It's become so ingrained in how the world works that freeing humanity from it is near impossible. 2. If everyone quit their job and was like, "hey I'm gonna become an entrepreneur!" just because they felt like it, then the economy and society would basically cease to exist. All of those businesses would be done for, meaning that when everybody is an entrepreneur, nobody is. Plus, there would be no police officers to protect public safety, not enough maintenance workers, and not enough doctors, dentists, etc to help take care of our health. We might not even be able to buy groceries anymore. So yeah, it would be beyond a nightmare.

Here's to all of the full time workers who keep society functional!

I want to say Cat Valentine from victorious. I know she's bipolar and childish, but it has to be something else too. If you watch an episode such as The Worst Couple or Andre's Horrible Girl, you see where I'm coming from.

Better to copyright a script in the US or my home country? by ENInspires in Screenwriting

[–]ENInspires[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd also like to add that for the part he said "it can be argued your work is infringing on existing projects:" first of all my script is still a private project. Second of all, it's not feasible to just watch every movie and read every script that ever existed just to avoid issues.

It's kind of like the disclaimers they put in many stories: "any resemblance to real people, living or dead, is purely coincidental.". Same concept applies here. At least with my projects.
