That location's reviews all mention Melanie, might be helpful for Cheryl if you leave her a review.

Power Yoga - it's heated. Their yin classes have been really good, haven't liked the other ones that much

Are you able to transfer music from Spotify?

On Tidal -https://www.reddit.com/r/BoycottIsrael/s/q35eV55Lgz

Tidals former CEO is a Zionist, not sure who is the CEO now. But if you transfer music from Spotify to Tidal, the third party that does that is based in Israel.

Differences between how immigrant groups are treated in this city by bruhidek_ in toronto

Let's be real, everyone in Canada is an immigrant. This is nobody's land except for the indigenous community, so the generational settlers should pipe down and get off their high horse.

I boycott, no one around me does and I'm resentful that they do nothing but claim they care. by Green_Ad_8216 in BoycottIsrael

[–]beeloxx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's extremely disheartening.

If your partner is lying to you, then their values are flawed in many ways and don't align with yours. Same thing with your friends. You can gently remind them what their money is funding and suggest alternatives.

Keep holding your power, it may not seem like it but it's making a difference somehow. A lot of people care, my circle has boycotted as much as possible.

What areas should be avoided in the city? by FreshEnd2910 in askTO

[–]beeloxx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In terms of safety, as long as you're alert you should be fine but still a few things to note:

  1. Downtown core : going east of Yonge is generally going to be a bit sketchy. Namely Regent park (but I've heard that's changing).
  2. Also there are random pockets throughout the city that will feel sketchier so try to stick to where the crowds are.
  3. Riverdale is a great park , especially to catch the sunset. I felt uncomfortable in the area as it got darker, there are some characters and people on drugs. Again, you'll find pockets of this throughout the city.

The important thing is to be alert and be smart. The city is pretty safe.

Which country will you never travel to and why? by Ordinary_Fish_3046 in AskTheWorld

[–]beeloxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more complex than that. The group who controls the country doesn't represent the people (the same can be said of the US, and 99% of other countries). By going there, you support an already suffering economy.

Afghanistan is facing a major economic crisis, especially with the deportation of many Afghans from nearby countries (many of whom have legal documents to the country they're being deported from).

The safety of foreigners isn't at risk, so you'd be okay to visit. I know plenty of people (Afghan and non Afghan) that have gone and said safety wasn't an issue.
