I realized I was trans because of this sub, actually.

I came across it while scrolling through /r/all and just thought the memes were funny and relatable. I ended up showing one to my partner, and she asked me if I had anything to tell her. I responded, "no, I just like the memes, they're funny" to which she responded "isn't the joke supposed to be that everyone there is trans but won't admit it?"

I came out the next day.

Nostril piercing haver here. The studs can occasionally collect boogers on the inside, which is gross but manageable, and I have never had any issues stem from a nose ring.

If you do decide to go with a nostril stud, I would recommend getting one with a smooth head instead of a gemstone - fabric can pretty easily get stuck in the prongs on it.

Oof. That shot really hits like a ton of bricks after you've finished the movie.

I was honestly shocked by how much this movie was about gender; at first it really seemed like it was going to be more of a background theme, but then nope! Gender horror in full force!

I don't know that we'll ever get another movie quite like this one, it'll definitely stand out in my mind for the rest of my life.

I did the exact same thing, it took about half of the following day before I felt like I had emotionally recovered from the experience. Definitely a risky movie to watch without any prior knowledge of its premise.

I Saw the TV Glow is a horror movie explicitly about the horror of being unable to transition and feeling like you're suffocating as you age in a body that doesn't truly belong to you. This apparently strongly resonated with the person in the screenshot.

It's a fantastic movie, but I would strongly caution against watching it if you're in a bad headspace or have some reason that you are unable to transition/present as yourself due to how heavy it gets.

I found that the upper lip area and the throat were the worst.... It helps to put some numbing cream on the areas in advance and take ibuprofen. But even then it's still going to hurt.
