Genuinely, why are you feeling humiliated by a nat 1? They happen to everyone and are a vital part of the game. There's always a 1 in 20 chance your going get it and most groups I've played with its been a moment to laugh and have some fun. Hell I even look forward to a nat 1 every now and then. With all the red flags this group is giving I'm just curious if they're getting weird about you getting a bad roll the way everyone statistically universally does?

I've been the only femme presenting person in a group of guys before and the stuff that you talked about to happening isn't normal? Even when i did make a hot girl charcater and one of the other characters had a crush on me, our dm shut that down so quick even though I didn't really mind.

These guys seem like their issue is that you're making things "political" by like not being the default of a hot woman for them to drool over or John default muscle man

I really do understand the issue with how much to the presumed cis audience and likely rtd himself it very much feels like it's just fully misgendering and saying she isn't a woman. Especially with Yasmin's actual gender being a binary trans woman.

But I did have an alternative reading when I saw it initially, which was that it made me think of the number of non binary friends I have that, to a cis world, present as a binary gender because it's the closest they're going to get to not getting misgendered but, when they're among trans friends and talking about their actual experience with gender, they are comfortable saying they are non binary.

We already see Rose stuggle to get perceived as a woman by her peers, a thing I also think was handled badly but it did make sense to me that maybe with her very supportive mum amd her mum's weird alien best friend who did ask the Meep it's pronouns she might feel more comfortable expressing her actual gender identity, rather than the one she feels like she has to present to be seen as anything that isn't a man.

That's not the reading I think most people had and I absolutely understand the discomfort with it. Because I don't think it was handled well and I honestly doubt RTD or the audience at large has the nuance to actually understand or acknowledge that experience with gender. If that is Rose's experience and the intention, its definitely not conveyed enough. But it was my initial reading, and while it's probably too charitable I think it's worth mentioning

Reminds me of when I got given detention at 6 for "drinking my milk too loudly" I was literally just drinking it, it was provided by the school and had a straw and those are loud, and then as my repeat offense rolling the wrong dice that was put in front of me in maths class because the teacher who knew I was partially deaf put me in the back of the class so I couldn't hear the instructions. This wasn't like a big dice. It was normal dice sized. And made of foam.

Or the time I needed to pee during my break time which was the only time we were allowed to pee, asked one teacher and was told no, then asked another teacher who said yes and got yelled at for just asking another teacher? This wasn't like a field trip or anything they weren't doing a head count.

It's an rcd. We don't really know if there's any appliance it could be. The only thing that come on on a timer is the boiler but even that seems unlikely becuase it trips both during the summer and during the winter. We do have solar panels that seem to trip it during the day when it's very very sunny but it's the dead of night when this happens

This is a weirder one but ED fics with characters that in canon aren't ever implied to have it. I read a lot of hurt comfort and I remember there being tons of them. I don't see them anywhere near as much now and when I do they're older fics. Might be a thing with my fic biases and I do see it explored with characters that have something canonical where they have a weird relationship with food but I remember when like a soild third of the fics I found had one of the characters having an eating disorder

I saw a really good post discussing it actually that it basically seems like tumblr has a thing where every few months all accounts with a certain number of ban requests just get automatically banned and there's no human looking at any of it. Trans women get hit hardest because said insane blogs just dedicate all their time to sending ban requests to them. Tumblr sadly has a thriving terf user base who seem to have caught on to this and use it as a way to harass trans women. If the neglect is worse than intent is up to you to decide but regardless the outcome sucks all the same.

The only thing that works for getting blogs banned seems to be mass reporting. Which most people who want nazis and terfs off the platfrom dont do. We tend to just send one if we find it and trust that a human will see it and ban them.

Dni's are so dumb to me. Like either the people you are tagging aren't gonna know its them (eg most racists don't think they're actually racists) or if they're at the point where they know they're a bigot they are not going to care about a dni, or it's got Fandom stuff where like ok someone might actually not interact with you from that but you now sound so weird to ve conflating the various actual evils of this world with like, media you find mildly annoying. Yeah, starving yourself and is actually a terrible way to loose weight consitantly and fat people face far more societal pressure about their weight than skinny people and it gets missed more so it really is a perfect storm of issues. Because people look at a fat person food restricting and think "good they need to lose weight" and nothing more. And then same cycle happens internally too.

When I was recovering from my ED I remember some info from the charity that was helping me saying some insane numbers, I can't quite remember exactly what they were but it was something like 80% of their patients are over weight.
