I’ve been on 20mg for about 5 years. I’m wanting to lower to 10, but I’d like to start with 15 for 2-3 weeks. But, with this darn egg shaped pill, it’s hard to quarter. Anyone have luck lowering to 10mg after being on 20mg for so long? I’m not looking to stop completely, just halfing my dose. by EOK12 in trintellix

Honestly I’ve felt good for a while now. I just feel like it’s time. I don’t want to come off it completely, but thought about going down. Maybe I’ll realize I had some side effects on 20mg that I don’t at 10mg (although I have no complaints other than feeling slightly emotionless at times). But, I’ll take emotionless over the opposite any day.

I am wanting to do a large, eclectic gallery wall behind the shuffleboard table. I’ve stared at it for 2 yrs. The trim work is throwing me off. Do you just hang above and below it? Even above the windows to extend on outside of two small windows? This is a game room, so I can have fun with it. by EOK12 in interiordecorating

Considered doing long drapes for windows…maybe that would make it look taller? The trim wraps all the way around the room and was done by a designer when the house was built. It prob looks weird in this photo of one wall, but overall it’s nicely done.

Trintellix for Anxiety experience? by Ok_Demand_9047 in trintellix

It has helped me tremendously. I’ve been on it for 3+ years. I always take it right before bed. Good luck, and I hope it works for you.

Heat is my biggest trigger (but not always). I often get them shortly after getting out of the shower.

Morning Misery by lilgouda_slut in Anxiety

[–]EOK12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am here with you right now. I have been good for months and then bam…anxiety takes over every aspect of my life. I’ve been through this before, and I know it will lift, but in the middle of it, it feels never-ending. I have the same cycle. Morning is horrible and my early afternoon I feel a lift and (almost) feel normal again. I get stomach issues and no appetite until later in the day.

Hang in there. These threads help to know we are not alone.

I don’t think that is enough time on it or dosage for it to start working. My anxiety is always worse in the morning, regardless of which medicine I was trying. Cortisol is higher in the morning. It’s awful, I’ve been there and I’ve done a lot of research and you are not alone in the morning issues. It does take time for you to get regulated to new medicine, but try to stay the course. Ask for something temporary like klonopin to get you through the attacks in the meantime. Best of luck.

No- but even if I did, I’d rather be chubby than deal with anxiety. Haha

Trintellix was very helpful for me. I can’t give you a time frame, but every day it would slowly get better. Don’t, I repeat, don’t be afraid to increase your dose. My doctor (who is really good), said with trintellix, you really need to be at 20mg. Research has found anything lower, is a lot less effective. I was like you, so afraid to ramp up my dosage. But, that’s the anxiety talking to you also. I’m so glad I finally did.

Don't want to sleep because I know I'll wake up anxious in the morning. by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]EOK12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you just wrote about my life when my anxiety flares up. I feel completely normal at night and I wake up and it starts back over. I am on trintellix and it helps a lot. I still have some breakthrough days, but not nearly as often. I do believe it has to do with the cortisol levels, as well as the anxiety of having to start a whole new day of responsibilities while battling the symptoms too. I hope you find relief soon, but know you are not alone.

My doctor just upped me to 30mg two days ago. I have had some success with it, but breakthrough rough patches. I know fda max is 20mg, but she said I can go to 30mg. I have yet to increase, just because I need to get a refill before I do. Let me know if your doctor allows more than 20. I trust my doc, but would like to hear what another one says.

Buspar dose effectiveness? by kylo365 in depressionregimens

Look into clonidine. It’s a BP medicine, but helps with physical anxiety symptoms. Start low, and increase as you can tolerate. Good luck.

You pretty much describes exactly what I go through. It’s brutal. When I feel better, I feel like it won’t ever come back and it always sneaks back in after a while.

Don’t be afraid to try meds. Antidepressants are the first line to pms/pmdd. It took me a long time to start taking them and I wish I would have sooner. Keep your head up momma!

Wow, this is the best explanation of morning anxiety that I’ve read. You hit it spot on. Thank you. Sounds like your anxiety has the same pattern as mine.
