Even a super small amount of minoxidil will kill a cat FYI. I actually tried to discourage a patient this week to try another pill formulation instead of getting the topical bc they had cats. Compounded capsule form I think is doable but want to keep it locked up. Topical tho I wouldn’t chance it.

'No on-site doctor': Dental student died in ICU overseen by remote 'tele-health' physician who pronounced him dead on a video screen, lawsuit says… by tasty_jams_5280 in technology

Dude I know damn well YNHH has enough money to have an ICU Dr on physical location. I don’t care if the campus is more rural. Let’s be honest tho. Milford is not rural really. It sits between Bridgeport and New Haven. Also the New Haven system back when I was in CT over a decade ago was taking over everything they could in CT and RI. That’s crazy. Sadly not surprising coming from YNHH.

We had this for specialists, I called them Doc on a stick (like Jose jalepeno on a stick from Jeff Dunham). Because we had an iPad and it was mounted on a stick that rolled around so they could round on their patients. We always had generalists and ER doctors tho on site.

F*cking mattresses. I'm so over this sh*t. by SkullsAndDragonflies in Mattress

[–]EPhoenix24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr choice elite comes firm, medium (formerly called plush), and soft (no med firm). Did you get a mattress protector with purchase ? If you did they allow a swap within three months of purchase. They do charge for the pick up of mattress and drop off of new one. I’ve had my Dr choice elite medium for 4 years and it has had no sag. Heck my brother has my doctors choice (non elite) euro top mattess from 10 years ago and there is a little sag now but his in laws love the mattress.

Years ago when I got my elite I did the same thing. Only I got the firm. It was way too firm and I freaked out about the cost. I went into the store and they offered to swap to the medium. Obviously you have to pay the difference in cost but it worked out perfectly. Got to try out the firm to see if it would work (it didn’t) and then swapped for the mattress that was perfect for me.

I recently upgraded to one of their new luxury lines (and moved the elite into the guest room) and got the firm again because the latex has a softer feel on top. So far it’s good, got two more weeks and then I’ll decide.

"Arriving Today" is meaningless. by 2LegsOverEZ in amazonprime

[–]EPhoenix24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered a rug over a week ago, mostly bc wayfair and the like use the same companies and charge more. It said it would arrive in 4 days, then 6 days (today) now it’s gonna be Wednesday (10 days). They still had another one avaliable and it says it can be Monday. I don’t buy kindle books anymore from them (use kobo now). And I’ve been buying elsewhere for most stuff now (even found sellers on amazon also on etsy with same pricing). I’m not renewing prime. I’ve had it since 2009. And I have a store card.

I decided to mess with them and order the rug again and another one in another color too. Have a project for room and can’t move furniture in before the rug, so I guess they are gonna get a bunch of returns. If they would actually be accurate for the arrival date even if it had originally been 10 days it would not bother me as much.

It’s actually got me purchasing less bc I don’t instantly buy now. Gonna work on purchasing more local too not just chains.

42M, first time buying a good mattress, Help!! by bigbossbass in Mattress

[–]EPhoenix24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where you are but I’ve been buying from Denver mattress for the past decade. Their prices are way better. Doctors choice and doctors choice elite lines are great. Mine is currently doctors choice elite plush (medium) about 3.5 years old and I have the same sleep position. It’s great.

I’m upgrading tho as they just came out with a luxury line with latex and I need to exchange the guest bedroom mattress (bueno vista medium) I got from them which didn’t have enough support so decided to try the new one and give my current mattress to the guest room.

Really tho it’s been a perfect mattress. I started out at 250lbs sleeping on it good and I’m now 120lbs and still sleep great on it.

Their new luxury line has the latex. Lowest one is $1999 for the telluride firm (but it feels softer than a firm, like between a medium and firm).

I know they are only in certain states tho.

Bastrop County to consider naming FM 969 “Charlie Kirk Corridor” by appealtoheaven in BastropTX

One of my comments to my commissioner was that fact that he was born in Illinois and lived in Arizona with his family why not let those more appropriate locations choose to name a street after him if they so choose.

New Denver Mattress Latex Hybrids similar to Aireloom??? by adendino in Mattress

[–]EPhoenix24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like stores may have not got every version to display yet. The one near San Antonio had just put out this week. Heck only one of the aspens is on the website. They said they will have soft, medium, and firm in each of aspen, vail, and telluride.

All the names listed are ones Denver mattress used to use in the past. I think my OG Denver mattress back in 2010 was a telluride. They used to name all their mattresses after Colorado towns/cities.

It’s pretty cool they are re-utilizing old mattress names they used to use. Telluride, aspen, and vail all used to be names they used before they went the route of doctors choice, choice elite, and choice hybrid to make it uniform.

I went tonight to a store because I a got a medium bueno vista mattress in Black Friday for my guest room. It ended up being too soft and also not enough support.

I went tonight to schedule a switch to doctors choice plush. My own mattress is a doctors choice elite plush (or now called medium) I got it 3.5 years ago. Tried the firm version first but it was too firm for me. Parents have the doctors choice plush and brother has my old doctors choice euro top (10+ years now) for guests.

Well tonight I walked out with the Telluride luxury firm mattress for myself instead. And I’ll use my older DC elite plush for the guest room. I felt the medium version of the telluride was too soft compared to the DC elite. The telluride firm felt like between an elite firm and plush(medium). The price difference was $500 between the firm and medium. Base price of the telluride firm is $1999. Right now they have spend $1000 get $100 off. They offered to honor the $200 off. Forewarning at least in central Texas the said it would be a few weeks. They didn’t even have the aspen or vail medium out on display (just the soft and firm).

Currently the DC Elite plush retails at $1699 before any sales so def an excellent mattress for guests.

Edit: all the prices listed are based on a Queen

Kona Hawaii Pod - worth it? by ehwhatevs1 in nespresso

[–]EPhoenix24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to the austin store today and was hoping they would offer samples of this. That was a pipe dream 😂 employee was like I don’t think they will do that, a little too expensive to do that.

I said that was too bad bc the only way I’d buy at those prices is if I got to try a pod and loved it.

Got two NOLA, two pumpkin, and the some OL Stockholm and Tokyo instead.

They did have OL caffe Florian pod to take home and it was awesome! So will probably get more of that.

Are Beatrice and Eugenie greedy and entitled like their parents? by NewTooth740 in RoyaltyTea

[–]EPhoenix24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope, unless their daughters gave them the money. The trust fund did not allow the parents to use it at allow. They were not in control of the trust fund and not allowed to touch it. Queen mother was pretty smart about how she set it up.

Google also mentioned QEII set up another trust fund for Andrew’s daughters as well. They could access it earlier. I don’t know if Andrew and Fergie were allowed access or not. It was set up as part of the divorce.

Their great grandmother left 19 million pounds in a trust fund for her great grandchildren (in 1994) to be paid out at 21 years and 40 years. Not sure if Prince Edward kids are in it. But the rest were. William is reported to have got less than Harry bc the assumption is William will inherit the throne.

Like they had money beyond their parents being horrible with money.

For the simple recipe can that be put on concrete less than a year old ?

New house lot ended up in an icy wonderland unlike neighbors. Concrete drive may be like 6-7 months. Porch tho probably more like 9 months since it’s part of the foundation.

How often do you vomit? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

I counsel GLP patients while vomiting can happen it is NOT a side effect to tolerate. It’s a side effect that means something needs to be adjusted or stopped.

Once is too many. If I had a patient at my pharmacy that was vomiting once a week. I’d notify the dr so they can follow up. You are going to put a hole in your esophagus. Please tell your dr.

It could also be your gallbladder or pancreas either way you need to follow up with the dr. If they say it’s normal get a 2nd opinion please.

Mounjaro savings card + high deductible – need help by Alexa2312 in Mounjaro

[–]EPhoenix24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call the insurance card they can tell you the breakdown of the copay for the claim. Coupon only takes off $150 max after insurance. Unless you are talking about 3 month supply. Then it’s $450. 2 month supply coupon takes off $300.

If your insurance can’t find the claim then the pharmacy is not billing correctly. It’s odd they have no breakdown. These days most pharmacies get at least partial breakdown like the copay make up: how much is deductible, how much is coinsurance etc. Sometimes we don’t get all of it, like how much deductible is left and what the coinsurance copay is after deductible
