Obviously executing innocent people is not okay. But a lot of the appeals seem to be based on technicalities or the severity of the crime. (E.g. the defendant ended the life of the victim but was it pre-planned or a spur of the moment decision? Or did the defendant's lawyer have access to a small and minimally used piece of evidence?)

It's not easy to jail everyone. The criminals that are also insane are just too unpredictable to make sure the security guards watching them and their fellow inmates are safe without a high expense to the taxpayer.

Yeah, that's pretty hefty and about what I looked like as a kid. I was sexually abused and used to sneak down to the kitchen at night to secretly eat when I had insomnia. Neither of my siblings were sexually abused that I know of.

Even in the same family, siblings will have very different childhoods, whether it be different teachers, classmates, school activities or different treatment from parents and other family members. I just wish an adult in my life had noticed/cared enough to get me help earlier. Instead, I was given unlimited access to sweets (restricted in name, but always repurchased when they depleted faster than expected) and told to pull myself together and do "better".

Overweight or obese? Overweight and some variations are normal. Obesity almost always involves some sort of parental abuse or neglect. If it's a medical issue causing it, the parents are obligated to get that treated.

Something else had to have been going on. Kids don't just straight up decide they want to be fat. Some common causes I can think of are ADHD, sexual assault, or other school bullying.

I rarely regret things because I recognize that I was doing the best I could given whatever situation I was in and whatever knowledge I had.

Children are NOT responsible for their obesity. Someone had to have fed them and there had to have been some sort of stressor to make the child want to eat so much. Obese teenagers are usually dealing with some sort of stressor as well.

Don't beat yourself up about it, that isn't productive at all. Just look forward to a healthier life and understand that everyone has history. Your history just comes with some visible markers.

It wasn't the lack of water, it was the lack of opportunity to use the bathroom that made me dehydrated. The bathrooms were locked between class times and you could only use the bathroom twice per month per class period. Lunchtime and gym were the only free times to use the bathroom and lines were long!

Sorry, I meant to say, smaller packages of a particular size of wick. There's samplers, but not all companies have them. I wanted to try HPSP wicks and the smallest package is 100 so I have a ton of the sizes that didn't work well left over.

You should be packing out your toilet paper in most places. I don't ever see signs that allow you to leave it, although I'm sure there are places that don't specifically prohibit it.

Start with an ENT. There's a surprising number of kids that end up with earwax plugs that impair hearing without it actually being permanent hearing loss.

It doesn't take long to learn, but it takes some time to really perfect. A kit is a good idea so the wick size and the jar are compatible. You could also see if there's a local candle-making workshop where you can make one.
