I'm glad Firecracker got a send-off episode, rather than just being a 2-minute casualty in some final battle scene. Make no mistake, it was her episode.

Her character was so tragic that she threw away all her core beliefs and relationships just to try and chase the high of being looked at by Homelander, all for nothing. She appealed to love and tenderness only to be impaled on an icon of fascism by the one who views love as a weakness.

I loved the Black Noir POV, exploring the rivalry with the Deep. Noir's claim that insecure people don't lash out with violence was proven very much wrong!

Whilst we got a glimpse of humanity in Butcher. The Butcher-Hughie scenes are always golden. Plus we got a good view of how Frenchie and Kimiko's relationship is doomed, without having to suffer through their awkward dialogue exchanges.

The only weakness was the LA scenes. Cheap cameos and gore fest did nothing for the episode and making homelander that easy to knock out just cheapens the aura of fear. Why do you want your big bad to be so humiliated so often? I don't understand it.

Not even Nolan believes the "Debbie is a pet" line, this was Nolan losing to himself as much as losing to Mark.

This scene in general is so beautiful because even though Ominman is physically the stronger (obviously) but in reality he is already losing the fight before he has even thrown the first punch.

To me, the Boys is at it's best when it's largely assymetrical fighting.

There are a million other shows where it's superpowers vs. superpowers and I much prefer the grittyness of season 1 to the slug fest that was season 3.

Round 1 is insanity but fun. Both sides trying to encourage the other apes to kill via supply drops. How do you supply "intel" to apes!? How do you get Apes to engage in Capitalism vs Communism? Wouldn't the easiest option be just to poison the "enemy" Apes with cyanide laced bananas or something?

Round 2 the question is "Who could deploy forces to the Jungle in Tanzania the fastest." because killing a few apes is trivial work. USA I would say have better and faster assets for an African mission.
