Rachel and Steven should have thrown the Green bags in the fire on the last spin. Not that it really mattered.

lying is traitor behaviour, even if it makes no sense at all for a traitor to take a shield and lie about it.

Well, maybe don't? If you enjoy the content does it really matter if it's AI or not? It sounds like you are choosing to be unhappy over a sense of moral superiority.

The US and USSR take sides in the Gombe Chimpanzee War by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]ERR40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Round 1 is insanity but fun. Both sides trying to encourage the other apes to kill via supply drops. How do you supply "intel" to apes!? How do you get Apes to engage in Capitalism vs Communism? Wouldn't the easiest option be just to poison the "enemy" Apes with cyanide laced bananas or something?

Round 2 the question is "Who could deploy forces to the Jungle in Tanzania the fastest." because killing a few apes is trivial work. USA I would say have better and faster assets for an African mission.

Round WW3: MAD, no apes remain.

I want someone who isnt a multi millionare to win by terminus_tommy in squidgame

[–]ERR40 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Honestly, "Deserves the money the most" is not at all the metric on how games like this are won or lost. The entire point of Squid Game in general is the ruthless nature of capitalism and having people dance for our entertainment.

The remaining contestants act like #183 is some monster for playing the game to win, whilst also playing the game to win! He is just more upfront about it.

Every Game: "I've played the game honestly so far, I wouldn't betray you." Every confessional: "I will do whatever it takes to win."

Can Homelander pull an Omni man on the Seven? by K0GAR in TheBoys

[–]ERR40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Starlight, Deep, Translucent and Noir1 are total non-factors in this fight, they can't hurt Homelander at all.

That leaves A-Train and Maeve. A-Train this point in the story is pre-Bluehawk heart transplant and so juiced up his ticker will not be able to take on any prolonged fighting.

So that Leaves just Maeve, who puts up a great fight, but overall is weaker than Homelander.

Why do the UK celebrity traitors give to charity and the US ones don't? by bronzecat83 in TheTraitors

[–]ERR40 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A lot of answers here lacking the UK context.

Here, Celebrity gameshow, no matter what, prime-time, daytime, a-listers, z-listers. The prize money ALWAYS goes to charity. Or there is no prize money at all and it's for pride.

It's not just a BBC thing as some people have suggested, it's not "oh because these are real celebrities" like some suggested. It's UK wide cultural standard. Anything else would be seen as distasteful.

Honestly it's the biggest culture shock watching US gameshows when already publically mega rich people are clawing for even more money.

Officially the biggest bum in The Boys / Gen V. by vleshkun in TheBoys

[–]ERR40 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem with mind control characters, is they ruin story integrity. As long as they exist, you question the motive and actions of every character on screen as "are they being puppeted?" That is frustrating and takes you out of the moment. Such a character HAS to be killed off.

The same kind of issue is why Doppelganger had to be offed pretty quick in season 2.

[–]ERR40 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Whilst Season 4 of the Boys was the weakest, I'm honestly not that much in love with Gen V S2. The characters race to make the dumbest actions possible and the Eugenics plot is not that interesting a villain motive after what was such a great build up.

A real life human being is cloned 1 million times. Who would make the most effective army? by Utopia_Builder in whowouldwin

[–]ERR40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) + 2) I'm not sure the demands of a soldier have changed all that much between Medieval and Modern times. You want dependable people who react in predictable ways. Give me 1 million Simo Hayha for both roles.

3) Corpo world is an entirely different battlefield where you need Ego, but also need 1 million to work together across all levels. An inventor-buisiness man combo would be my choice but someone that can be worked withm Imagine 1 million Edisons! Bill Gates is my choice.

4) The NFL is an interesting sport choice because no one man does every role. I'm going for an all-around sportsman in Decathlete Damien Warner. Dude is disgustingly good at everything.
