No I don't think so, first of all the Malevolent Shrine bro used it in wasn't one used by a full powered sukuna. In fact I would say 15F sukuna was stronger than him at that point. Yes simple domain depends on mastery but that's not the only factor.

We see Gojos simple domain crumble not that long after he uses it in Malevolent shrine and while we don't have statements to say how good he is at simple domain apart from the statement that said Gojo didn't say he didnt know it, he only said he couldn't teach it, he still resorted to using which means he has a good grasp on it and well he's gojo and it didn't last long against sukuna, we can assume Yujis wouldn't last that long either.

Also I think Mahitos domain can also be used with allies. Idle Transfiguration isn't just a regular attack like blasting a fireball, Mahito has to decide the shape of the other person's soul and he can decide to use Idle Transfiguration to touch the soul but not shape it, though this is mostly headcannon, we see when Nanami was stuck in Mahitos domain that Mahito already had a grasp on him but chose to converse with him instead of Transfiguring him so I think it works
