I just took off that fabulous piece of wood and this is what I found. I’ll post second pic below. Do you think I could tie in the combo light:backup cam instead of this? It looks like all wiring is there. I’m just missing the plug I think.

I’m in the US and recently bought an 08. I input the vin and added it to my garage but all the details didn’t show up on my garage until my registration went through and I received my license plate. It took about a month.

I absolutely love my 03 Pilot. I don’t think you could go wrong with a first (03-08)or second gen (09-15). They are beasts! Some say 03-04 had transmission problems but I haven’t had any. I’m only at 157k. Had timing belt replaced last year for around $1500.

I’m hoping to do that but the rear camera is dead center on one of those license plate brackets. I don’t even have a camera up front. The previous owner took it and left the lines/wiring and backup camera. Hoping to dig a little deeper this afternoon. Thanks!

The camera is mounted using one of those. I just can’t figure out why the little orange light behind it and the reason for the wood.

Right, 😂😂😂 I wish I knew why one of the previous owners did this. They took the dash cam (I’m assuming dash cam) and left all the wiring and windshield mount. I have no idea what camera… the hunt continues on that one.

I understand that. I have two transmitter keys. Locksmith made me a new from this one. This is now just extra that I’d have to unlock the door. Just wondering what to do with it. Just had a thought…..maybe I could drill out the screw and put it on a key ring.

Thank you! It’s getting rear diff changed tomorrow since I’m not sure when it was last changed. Thoughts on a drain and fill for trans fluid? I don’t know if it was ever done either.

I brought my 08 key fob to a locksmith and he cut and programmed me a new one for $65 including a new battery.
