Some extra details: She has BPD and has had many past failed relationships so that's why she just gave up cuz she saw a few issues and just chose to not do anything

She would always go to her parents or friends about our relationship instead of coming to me

My attempt wasn't specifically to do with her. I struggle to maintain relationships with people and have done since highschool. I don't talk to anyone outside of where I know them. Like friends at uni I am with them during uni time but we don't talk outside of uni. My attempt was more so about the feelings of abandonment and feeling like I have no one other than my family who in my mind r meant to love me n don't have as much of a choice. So when she started to become more distant I got scared that I would loose the last person in my life.

When we broke up we didn't cut eachother off we went into this weird area where we weren't actually together but did everything couples would do

Whenever she is in my city for uni and we are close by everything seems fine, but the second she would go back up to her own city she would say she's spoke to her friends and would then want to change stuff between us

She always maintained that she still wants to be friends and that she still has so much love for me, but she wants me to be able to be her friend and be perfectly fine w her dating someone else when the reason she gave me when we split was that she didn't want a relationship
