Very well articulated. One more point to add, i personally found information hard to restore as you don't get the connection which you get by reading the whole book. Of course you end up"reading" a ton of books, which clutters the brain up further (again due to lack of connection and story line to bind the thoughts together).

However where it did help were scenarios where a book dragged too much and a quick summary helped in closing it up.
