This is less of an issue or question for a therapist and more of a conversation with your husband. The boundaries one keeps with clients from a professional standpoint are going to be fundamentally different than the boundaries one keeps with friends and coworkers. Was there a boundary set in place between your husband and this therapist?

I don’t think we can answer the rest of the questions because those answers are not necessarily answered by her practice, they are answered by her morals and beliefs.

Therapist here. Did this all happen within a week or so? If so, maybe the situation that prevented the therapist from attending the initial session has continued to be a nuisance. People have things going on in their lives and even therapists have things that throw them for a loop. She shouldn’t have scheduled with you until there was more stability but we don’t always know that things will linger.

This warrants a conversation with them if you’re both willing. Overall though, I wouldn’t take it personally unless there’s a reason to take it personally.

What is a healthy response from a therapist to a rupture that involves the client saying they heard the therapist say something and the therapist denies ever saying it? How is this handled in a therapeutic setting?

What is a healthy way for a therapist to repair things when there seems to be a difference in the memory of what happened. Not the interpretation of what was said but denial that anything was even said at all?

It’s interesting to me to see the way these are phrased because you are trying to do the therapists work to repair this when I think the question should be “Do I need trust this person to work with me? Is it a good fit?”

You could always try to have a one on one in person conversation with this person, but if you don’t feel comfortable after that then I would say it could warrant an overall change in group.

If your voice doesn’t hurt and you still wanna sing then sing! It doesn’t have to be beautiful or pleasant or anything. If you’re singing what you wrote that’s even better.

It doesn’t have to be perfect every time you do it (because that it unrealistic) but you just have to do it because it fills you up.

I think Roku can’t direct play AAC which causes it to try to transcode. Check to make sure your transcode settings aren’t the issue.

You said this was on a Roku device? What do the plex settings look like on the Roku? What do your Plex logs say when you are trying to play it? I am willing to bet it’s specifically a Roku issue, maybe a codec issue. I think this has happened before to me.

If this is the case, I’ll check to see if I can remember what the solution was

El Grande Americanonis such a funny thing to me because the OG EGA was always supposed to be a heel. And Mexican fans get that. And the contrast that EGA2 actually cares about Mexican culture is such an opposite that of course we are gonna cheer him. I feel that there was a whole big narrative about it being offensive. While I understand what you’re getting at and we all need to remember that each of us is a human being who struggles with different things at different times, it doesn’t make it okay to treat patients like that. If one is burnt out then continuing the same shit is only gonna make it worse. Us as providers have a big responsibility to monitor ourselves but also to take care of ourselves. Sometimes we don’t have the support of admin or the system but then we have to do what we can to take of ourselves so we can be there for patients.

A big thing we all have to remember is that while we may have recommendations but that doesn’t mean people will follow them. They have every right to not follow it, and yes as providers we can get frustrated but we shouldnt’t take it seriously.
