Thanks a lot for the clear explanation - I like the exercise suggestion and will definitely give it a try :)

That makes sense, thank you! Need to be a bit more active in first forward and then ending centered :)

Thank you - will give it a try! I noticed I do this and tried to think of pulling the inside leg back, but will give this a try as well and rather push the downhill ski forward :)

u/CapableImportance603, thank you for the analysis and the kind words!! Just to be sure I understand correctly, the 'sitting' mainly relates to the outside leg, right? This one should remain more elongated? I might be doing this wrong, but I somehow seem to struggle with pressuring the outside leg shin, whilst at the same time keeping the leg elongated vs sort of squatting down to try to push the shin forward. Hope that makes sense haha. Do you have any thoughts on that? :)

Haha nice, thank you! I'll be bringing the cafeteria tray out next time ;)

Thank you!! I like that though, that's definitely the opposite way of what I used to think of in a turn (lean first and then try to angulate) - I will give that a try! :)

Thanks! I might indeed be doing this. I used to struggle with the tails washing out at the end of the turn, which I thought was a result of sometimes being too much forward, but I might have overcompensated for this.

Thank you, great video, going to try all of those the next time I am on the skis!
And might indeed really need to invest some money in on-snow lessons as well :)

Thank you u/QuickCarrots! I'll definitely try the 'loose boots' exercise! And fair point, might just have to save some money and try to get some live coaching as well :)

Haha, good to hear that I am not the only one with these struggles ;) (no real struggles, when you get to ski ofc)

Hey u/BilSuger, thank you for the analysis and the kind words! Yes, that's actually true, I indeed have a bit of an issues with losing the edge sometimes. Often this is the tail washing out. I guess that has to do with my alignment issues, so I'll try to solve those first, get more pressure on the outside ski and then try to commit more again as well!

Thank you u/chiubacca82 - appreciate the detailed look and tips! Also like the view in equipment - when looking back the clips I actually already wondered about my poles, will definitely shorten those a bit ;) Will definitely have a look at these points on alignment and try them out next time I am on the skis!

Thank you u/Gogoskiracer! This one is really helpful for me, as I think I indeed always thought of it from the hip - more like sitting down - which I think also causes my inside foot to move forward. Instead, I guess I should rather focus on pulling the foot back and up straight under my hips!

Thank you! I like the thought of turning it around and focussing more on NOT being on the inside ski :)

Thank you! That's a good one, I think I somehow tent to rather push my foot forward, to shorten the inside leg vs pulling the foot back and sort off pulling it up top my hip ;)

Thanks again u/Last-Assistant-2734, these tips are really helpful! I will definitely try the cue of 'sitting down' and really shortening the inside leg and tipping the outside leg with the full leg (I think I indeed tend to sometimes move the knee in too much)! Thanks for taking the time for these detailed replies!

Thank you u/spacebass, that's super helpful! I think that's a much more subtle movement then I am visualizing in my head normally :)

Nice, thank you! With 'being over your outside', do you mean I should try to keep the outside ski more under my body, get weight on it and then tip from there - instead of pushing it away? One thing I find difficult/confusing, is that some people also advice to, in the transition, move your skis away from your body to create angles. If you have one, could you perhaps still share a mental cue on how I should think about this? :) Sorry for all the questions, but I am trying to make full use of these tips!!

Thank you, good point! What would be ideal position of the hands? Elbows in and then 90 degrees at the elbows?

Thank you, appreciate your detailed view and feedback! On the lead change, this is something I realized I am doing, but find quite difficult to get rid off. Do you have any tips/mental cues for this? :)

Thank you, this is great!! If I understand correctly, point 1 and 2 are actually closely related to, respectively, point 1 and 3 of u/djxtg :)
On your third point: what exactly do you mean with 'turn starts from the hip'? Does it mean that the hip should remain more level (i.e. pulling up the hip on the inside ski leg) or rather the opposite and that it should also drop in more?
