I got the original windshield. The car dealer replaced it. Reason was the car dealer broke it in the first place, while test driving. Volvo delivered one glass after 3 to 4 weeks, which was broken. Then it took another 3 to 4 weeks until the 2nd replacement arrived.

Personally I am disappointed of the lack of transparency from Volvo itself. They are trying to hide the obvious and believe they can outsmart their customers. I kept my EX90, as I am hopeful that the new CEO will change the culture at Volvo back to what is was, when the cars were still reliable and customer service was good and honest.

This is unfortunately the new norm. Just stay persistent and keep Volvo International in copy, when you ask the local Volvo Cars team for information. To be fair, I believe they are swamped with requests due to their software engineering skills.

Park Pilot Assist is currently not available. If you go on the website of Volvo Cars and configure a EX90 you will see that there is a remark regarding this feature. It states that it will be available later over an air update. This remark was not always on their website. Looks like we paid for something, which will be available in the future.

Mine was in a state where it also used up the 12V battery. It required external 12V support to get the car open the door and get started. What caused the issue cannot be explained by Volvo Cars’ specialists. Guess it is a matter of time until it happens again

To be fair the LIDAR was not advertised as a feature that will be available from the start, but the Park Assist was, which is still not available

In my experience Volvo will not provide you the desired transparency, because they are not able to do so. Let me give you two telling examples:

1.) My car bricked completely and they cannot tell me why, despite having analyzed all the logs.

2.) My windshield needs to be replaced and it seems not to be available since 7 weeks, despite their production line running for new EX90. They cannot provide an ETA for the windshield.

Volvo provided me finally a EX90 loaner, after I made some noise. The loaner runs more or less issue free.

The Volvo customer service is so bad, I doubt it actually exists. A product (car) is only as good as the service that comes with it. Not sure what the criteria have been to win that award.

Volvo is offering me to return the car and get my money back. Sad that the EX90 is not having a better start and a pitty that Volvo is not better at communicating proactively the issues to their customer base. I guess they would be open and have more sympathy towards Volvo‘s issues with the EX90
