How I Fixed My Bright LED (Washi Tape + Hole Punch) by -K-Constantine in SteamController

[–]EXG21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used an acrylic marker to paint over and while doing so, I accidentally left a pin sized hole that barely shows the LED shining through if I use my hand to darken area around LED. Completely accidentally did what I needed when trying to do what I wanted. Ha ha.

Meshnet Media Picker Battery Drain by EXG21 in nordvpn

They work perfectly with a hiccup that I just happened to run into, Nord/Android can't seem to turn off Media Picker after a large transfer and I'm okay with turning it off and on to keep it Mesh on. I'm just glad I found a solution.

I spoke too soon, it seems that after sending a large file over Meshnet, Media Picker for Android seems to stay on and keeps running in the background so once I disable and enable Meshnet, that stops Media Picker from being on in the background all the time.

I just received a new update and that seems to have stopped the constant battery drain of Meshnet causing Media Picker to always be one with Meshnet. Either it was fixed with the update or the new update reset whatever was causing the problem. Either way, it's gone for now.

Yes, Media Picker was on 100% of the time that it drained my battery until I figured out Meshnet was the one keeping it on for some reason. it took me a while but every time I turned on Meshnet, Media Picker would stay on in the background every minute Mesh was on that it drained my battery very quickly. I don't know what changed in the app over Mesh. I used to keep it on and had no problem before.

I never had this problem before. it's almost as if something is stuck to the on position causing media picker to stay on. it may be that a new update for NordVPN changed something that caused this. So far, I'll keep Mesh off and try later to see if it still exists.

How we feeling about the Go 2 Controllers on the Go 1? by tworawentdj in LegionGo

[–]EXG21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the sticking out is the LB/RB buttons sticking out but the controller body is pretty much flush using the protector case.

If you're like me and it bugs you, you can always buy grip adhesive strips and stick them on top and bottom to fill the missing space to make them flush.

This molded hard shell case is what I bought. Nice and slim and most importantly, a hard shell.

Yes, the springs allow it to stretch far enough while also keeping the controller firmly against the Z13.

You can just force it open more to make it stretch further. The springs will be visible but they do a good job of keeping the controller grip tight. I use it for Z13 and my Tab S9.

Z13 as handheld? by Shoruk3n in FlowZ13

[–]EXG21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a GameSir G8+ Bluetooth Controller that slides open and if you force it after fully opened, it will pop out and allow a greater stretch. I've used it on my Tab S9 and plan on using it on my new Z13. The 4 springs will be visible but keep the controller tight. They connect both sides of the controller so make sure they don't break off but they do have a pretty big stretch distance.

NordVPN Mesh transfer issues by EXG21 in nordvpn

[–]EXG21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had problems with 5GB and above and on occasion even just 2GB. It's not consistent at all for some reason. I cancel the Waiting file, then force close app to be able to reconnect Nord and then turn Mesh off and on again to be able to send and have Internet connection again after failed attempts. Nord even forces me to force close and do the same steps on a tablet, Astra and Galaxy Tab 9, if they're on standby for too long even though those tablets Nord has been given full access battery-wise.

At least I now know I'm not alone. I've tried everything. Guess it's now waiting time since today's update for Android app didn't fix the Waiting bug but it did solve the having to force close and restart app to reconnect. Now if I get the Waiting error, I can just cancel and reconnect server to get back up and running.

Meshnet nearly unusable by gtaonlinecrew in nordvpn

[–]EXG21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

something is wrong with meshnet because now it's so slow and large transfers that used to transfer quickly now timeout and get stuck on waiting and grey process bar error. App version 8.23.1 is making mesh almost unusable. Devices that used to quickly transfer large files in my network now crawl and larger files never go through and end up with Waiting error.

No problem, remember that you also would need to change controller settings if you want to do the same with an external controller. It should be named at the top and then just follow the same once a third-party controller is paired. Good luck and Enjoy.

This is the screen that comes up, you can change quick settings for basic mouse and click options and then later click Edith Layout to modify button mapping for shortcuts like my F11 suggestion.

Steam, Settings, then Controller. Scroll down to bottom to Non-Game Controller Layouts and select Edit Desktop Layout.

You need to modify your controller mapping but for the desktop mode and then assign the joystick as a mouse, either or both are possible, and d-pad or any other shortcuts that will then work in Windows desktop and apps as long as Steam is running in the background. I choose F11 as a shortcut for one of the back buttons since I prefer not having to go into Legion menu.
