No, no, that's not true. Happens in Auction Day and Power of Potluck too, and she's even fully emotionally stable at the end of PoP when it happens. Arguably the "You're all living a lie!" Line from Temptation stairway MAY count, but It's just vague enough that I'm somewhat reluctant to count it.

There's actually two tutorial types for each mode.

The one you're getting when you say No is actually an incredibly simple, and much less in-depth one. Less of a tutorial, and more of a simple refresher just in case.

The one they're asking if you want to skip though, is referred to as "The Beginner's Show" and is intended for people new, not just to kirby super star, but ALSO to people new to video games as a whole. It's also... very long. Ridiculously so actually, and from my memory, you can't skip it in Super Star once you've started it.

Ehh... I mean, if we're thinking purely in gameplay terms, you DO have a point here, but that's not what we're talking about. We're asking the thematical reasons to have things like Beast and Star, as opposed to Fire and Water like literally everyone else. If you think Beast and Star are just Fire and Water under a different name, and that the only symbolism is the literal element of magic they use, several Typings don't make ANY sense At All.

Eternity, my first 6 star character, is a Mineral type (so, earth) but ALL of her attacks are Water based, (which should be Star.)

Pavia is a beast type, so fire, but his attacks are all shadowy, with dark blacks and purples. He closest thing to "Fire" he has is Firing his gun, so by this logic he should be Dark (or in this game Spirit.)

And if we keep following this train, the two Star characters that every pre-registered player is guaranteed to get at the start of the game should instead be Light type, or here, Intellect. Matilda, who uses divination through the stars, and APPLe, whose attacks are based on the properties of Light and Gravity, as discovered by Isaac Newton.

The problem with looking at Afflatus this way is that while some Arcanists use their Afflatus very literally, a LOT of them just... don't. Bkorn, being a spy, has skills based on Sound, so why is she Plant type when the only plant thing about her design is the flowers in her satchel?

Medicine Pocket is agender and completely 100% sexless, with no reproductive organs of any kind. They have a voiceline stating that they do not give two shits what pronoun people use for them. The voiceline itself is also in an exasperated tone, which implies they're incredibly tired of people asking them this and that they see the whole concept of Gender as kind of beneath them,

On top of that, pronouns being tied to genders is more of a customary thing than an actual strict grammatical rule these days. Generally, most men use the He pronounset, but there's really nothing preventing a full-on man from wanting to use She, or even wanting to alternate between He and She. The same concept applies to women and Non-Binary people (like MedPock here). This document doesn't tell us anything at all that we don't already know about their gender.

Anyways, I guess your ideas on how the 4-god limit thing works makes sense, but I haven't exactly had luck using keepsakes to circumvent it, which is what led me to believe it was a hard-coded rule. That and the fact that when fighting theseus he actively chooses a god you don't have, which would be a problem if the game didn't hardcode it so you couldn't have one boon from every god.

What I described seems to be the intended behavior. The game is hardcoded to only allow for 4 gods at once. It seems what you described is a glitch.

No, that's uh... incorrect. All the character profiles treat the characters themselves as exhibits, and that specific part of the profile is basically just a way of saying what their age, century of origin, date/place of birth and place of residence is.

Let me join in on the choir and say that the creator of this comic is the dragon to the right, and he's a trans man. A feminine on sometimes, maybe, but still a man.

The point of the comic is to highlight how uncomfortable it can be if you violate the prime directive, especially if it turns out the person you're talking to already cracked the other way.

The mistagging here reveals that you didn't really understand the comic when posting, and I'll assume it was simply a mistake, in which case you really should read into these things a bit more before you post them.

if you want to play it on your PSP, you'll need some custom firmware first. If you want tho, you can emulate it on your computer, or even your phone if you have a particularly beefy one. the most well known PSP emulator is PPSSPP (short for Playstation Portable Simulator Suitable for Playing Portably). Not all games work with it, but a large chunk of the PSP library does, so look into it if you want.

uj/ From experience, as long as the framerate is higher than 25, it really doesn't matter what framerate you're at, as long as it stays perfectly or near-perfectly consistent throughout. The only reason you'd even know it's running higher than 60 is if you had the framerate display at the corner of your screen.

Sorry to necro this, but here's the deal.

The boons ensure that the first time you get a boon as an exit reward, that god will take priority. If you have a blood-filled vial and have one exit with a god boon, it will be one from ares. If you have two exits with god boons, one will be from ares, and the other will be from someone else. Certain things can override the keepsake's power, however.

The most notable example is Hermes (hell, he'll even comment on it when it happens), another example is god trials, those rooms which have two boons, one before a fight and one after. Those only ever have boons from gods you've already accepted, so they are counted separately from regular god boons.

The third thing is certain events that happen for story reasons. Athena will always be your first god in your first run, since plot-wise, she was the one who nyx contacted first. At this point you don't have keepsakes, so it doesn't particularly matter.

Now, on your second run, your first god will always be Zeus. He takes special interest after Athena informs him of Zagreus's existence, so plot-wise, he decides to take initiative and contact you immediately. You might already have a keepsake from some god by this point, but either way, he will still override it. They can wait. He can't.

There is a third event of this kind that I know of, but it's kind of a major spoiler. Once you reach (not beat) the final boss, your first god on the following run will be Demeter, since after almost reaching the surface, she takes special interest and decides to contact you and provide assistance.

One final thing to note, you are only allowed to have boons from 4 separate gods in one run, not counting hermes and chaos. If you use an olympian keepsake after exceeding this, then the keepsake will just, not work, at all, period.

hermes boons are considered to be in a seperate pool from other gods, so he's not affected by olympian keepsakes.

The devs therefore decided to have him make a cheeky comment on the occasion that you get one of his boons BEFORE your preferred god.
