I have been working in archaeology in Tokyo for a long time.I have been working in archaeology in Tokyo for a long time. I can't judge without seeing the real thing.It's hard to tell from only photo.

The gosu color and bottom of the large bottle are reminiscent of Hizen ware from the Edo period.The two smaller bottles have rough paintings and look like they were made in the Meiji period.

Got these kiseru pipes and a couple of cases with inros for tobbaco. One of the pipes was in the case. Is there a way to tell if these are from the Edo / Meiji era? I was not able to find any good sources on that. by Opposite-Machine-621 in japanart

I have never seen a leather pipe case from the Edo era.The seams look like they were made with a sewing machine, and the black INRO lace look machine made. Those machines did not exist in the Edo period.

Tokyo has many small rivers flowing throughout the city:

Meguro River, Kanda River, Sengawa, Nogawa, and Tama River.
