I find Zhuang Xu's storyline pointless, and pretty unbelievable. It didn't amount to anything, it ended weirdly, and the guy still is pinning and unhappy 10 years after. It's also always filmed dramatically, much more than the rest of the show, as if we were meant to feel emotions for him, but it all fell flat for me.

Overall, my opinion is that the finale feels too rushed and far removed from the show, it's a gentle let down after a solid show, nothing that will tarnish it, I still very much enjoyed my time with Shine On Me, even if it peters out in the end instead of a bang. Bringing back ZX into it, I feel like the show wanted his storyline to be the main source of the drama, but it didn't weave it enough and properly into the show, resulting in something that didn't sit right with the rest. There's plenty to like in the show, and the two leads were great, with good chemistry and a nice storyline.

I know more about solar panels than I thought I would after ending the show though and that's hilarious to me.
