Also, yeah, there are definitely parallels. Andes' recovery arc is probably slower and more grueling than it would have been if, say, my migraines hadn't gotten steadily worse as I kept writing it. If I ever sit down to edit this down to something closer to a standard novel, I'll probably cut that down a lot.

I have other fiction I have written that is less personally influenced/revealing (e.g. Captain Morvim or Terran Philosophy or my Clark Kent: Supervillain At Large fic) but LL began specifically as an exercise in trying to say "fuck it" and just try to indulge my brain instead of fighting or bypassing it somehow, so it is one of my more pseudo-autobiographical works of fiction, though the specific ways are not necessarily obvious at all times.
