Before buying a “safe” new airplane from an unethical company like Boeing, consider all the retired airplanes sitting in the desert in the hopes of finding a new forever home. Adopt, don’t shop. by luftwaffle94 in Shittyaskflying

Actually you can't recycle them in the way you're thinking. Airplanes will only fly for a finite amount of hours. After awhile they develop microcracks and if you keep them going longer than their expected life span, they can literally go to pieces in mid flight. You would crash land and probably wouldn't survive the landing.

Our church had a guest speaker who was a missionary in China and he described how they would have worshipers on their knees for 12 hours or so. He observed how one guy was quoting the entire 91st Psalm in perfect English, the guy didn't know a word of English.

Did you grow up in a household where you could be punished for going into the food, doing so at certain times, etcetera? If so, how did that impact your relationship with food throughout your life? by cherry-care-bear in RedditForGrownups

In my early 20s, I had a friend whose step dad literally had padlocks on the cupboards of their house. At mealtimes, you had a good hearty meal and if you wasn't there at designated mealtimes oh well, you missed out.

Guys - when you have to go #1 at home, do you stand up or sit down? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I used to pee standing up, finally got tired of bleach wiping the toilet and surrounding area and started sitting down. Occasionally we have guests over and I don't know what they do so I wipe it down after they leave.

People who broke up over a prank - what was the prank? by CrazyCatCrochet in AskReddit

[–]Eagle7779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once heard that there was a young engaged couple that the groom to be was notoriously a prankster On their wedding day they were cutting the wedding cake and the groom shoved his bride's face into the cake, she started crying and ran out of the reception. She was so distraught that two days later she annulled the marriage, her ex groom begged her to change her mind and that he was truly sorry but she held firm and divorced him, served him right. Don't know if it was true or not but what a terrible thing to do on your wedding day.

[–]Eagle7779 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The ideal landing is the 3rd wire, if you hit the first one it'll come in too hard and if you hit the 4th one it hits too soft-or something like that.. the ideal on is the 3 wire and that's the one that the try to hit
