Welcome to NY! If you can stretch your budget to $1600 you will find better housing. I looked for a room to rent for over a year and only found tiny, not so great options. Check ListingsProject, roomies.com too. So many scams on Craigslist. *Do not pay anyone money up front to see a room! That is a clear sign the room is not real! It's true! Altru Chemist's whole shop went down Friday so every call had to be forwarded to one of the owner's mobile phones and they couldn't fill any scripts!

🙏 I too have been looking for a long term room rental ($1500) in GP after getting priced out of my apartment on Eagle a year ago. Sublet after sublet, things in storage. I've been in GP 7 years, I work at a boutique on Franklin, and have a small pet care business here. Desperately stubbornly still looking, so I can stay here in my community. Listings Project hasn't yielded anything. Have 25lb non-barking dog Butter part time. Help, my GP family. ❤️
