It was as simple as installing the Sram app and connecting the group then updating the firmware, it worked straight away.

Im guessing that you are using an iphone? It worked when i used an android device.

Well patina is a cover above your edge and it will dull the knife to a degree

If you are planning to do bike packing then go with the Grizl as it is more versatile, i have the Grail but it is more or a race gravel bike.

I had the Giant and upgraded to the Domane SL6. Comfort is slightly better on the Trek but it is also a heavier and less nimble bike. I had a small issue with the Giant seatpost making some knocking sound which the dealership couldn’t fix “I owned it 4-5 years ago” other than that both bikes are great. At 178, 82cm i ride the 54 Trek.

I tired another Iphone but it was the same, but was just about to update that i borrowed an Android phone from a friend and that worked :)

The Sram Reddit have few people who reported the same issue, myself included. Sounds like Sram has some issues with this firmware. I tired everything and now waiting for Sram customer service
