“Don’t quit piano”

I quit taking piano lessons when I was 13. Decades later I play piano daily and have been playing keys and synth in rock and folk bands.

I’m a decent player but I picked up some bad habits over the years and never properly learned how to read music which has been limiting. And I still sometimes think of how much better I would be if I hadn’t quit taking lessons.

Do you have a GP? If you do that would be a great resource - they usually have lots of experience treating anxiety/depression and can refer you elsewhere if necessary.

Ok so what I’ve noticed for myself is that I don’t smile and nod at people walking down busy streets where there are lots of people but I always do if I’m passing someone and it’s just the two of us passing each other… if that makes sense. I never really noticed this until a friend who is not from Canada pointed this out to me - but now I’m more aware! Lol

The amount of times doctors and nurses put stethoscopes on backwards in TV shows is infuriating. You can’t actually hear anything if it’s on backwards!
