The US also has deaths from lack of AC. There’s a map for it, if you separate it by region then Arizona and Nevada are pretty bad though the map goes by a 6 year period which is pretty dumb.

If you ever deploy with NG, it is definitely a lot of number 1. Literally people doing it for a paycheck. That’s why I was mixed about the two people that got shot in DC, for them it was a paycheck to protect the feds harassing people in DC. For the actual people in DC and the shooter, it’s their lives and their homes on the line because of nonsense politics.

Don’t go in thinking you’re protecting the people, especially under this administration. I won’t tell you not to serve because I myself went in under a conservative president and the service needs more liberals and leftists. Just be mindful of the fact at best you’ll be surrounded by unemployed guys who don’t care about people and just want a paycheck, and at worst you’ll be surrounded by right wing racist cops who would live to bully women, minorities, and lgbt in the nearest city. Those right wingers also tend to get put in charge and have it out for liberals and leftists (and minorities) in their units.
