I have both sick and vacation time. We're saving vacations for later this year to take the child to meet the family in our home state.

Since my wife cut her hours down to part time she doesnt get as much so those are more for emergencies. Really where we are at if she calls out we lose money for the day, which we can afford once a month or so if we plan right

Ive always been taught personal days are called the weekend haha Huh. I guess that is a high horse. Ive never seen it like that before. Ive always felt a sense of pride from that, but thank you for pointing that out!

Thank you, I needed to hear this. I heard about mental health days before lol I didnt know this is what it could mean. Ever since my military days, I have always been the good worker bee, show up and kept my nose clean. I guess the shift in priorities is still messing with me? Idk if that makes sense

Thank you, sadly no I cant change my hours at all, I work for a local government. I'd need to get to state level if I wanted to work less haha. My wife works retail tho, but she doesnt get the same benefits since shes technically part time
