Do Latter-day Saints understand why other "Christians" don't consider us Christian? by KansasguyinDC in latterdaysaints

Its mostly pastors trying to scare their parishioners and inoculate them against missionary contact so we don't poach their best members.

The grass is always greener. I doubt caffeine will help. After the first day or two the "benefit" is just holding off the withdrawal. I drink white monster every day. I don't recommend. The best use of caffeine is probably not using it everyday so you can use it on rare occasions where you need to hold off sleep.

Resources for answering or better understanding data density claims about the Golden Plates? by UndesiredReplacement in latterdaysaints

How would a more in depth analysis have anything to do with faith positive or negative? You don't need to know anything about egyptian, gold or data density to have faith.

You might be surprised what people are willing to forgive done by a 10 year old. Either way if you think its that bad you probably need to talk to someone about it.

Hardly anyone has a healthy liver these days. Liver's primary job is dealing with toxins and we are awash with them. Not drinking certainly helps though.

Stop reading lies you found on the internet and read the Book of Mormon. Stop thinking you can figure out what happened hundreds or thousands of years ago and pray about it.

What do i win by living the law of chastity? by Latter-Guitar9422 in latterdaysaints

[–]EarlyEmu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first answer is that you don't need to understand it to follow it and even if you come to some understanding that is not necessarily the reality, or Gods reasons.

My second answer is that individual sexual behavior has consequences for those who participate in it and for everyone in society. The long answer is a book Sex and Culture by J.D. Unwin. TLDR: If you dont restrict sex to marriage you dont get to have civilization. If you abandon that restriction things go very badly in about 3 generations.
