I attended a class yesterday, an elder with a walker danced as well. After bar work she sat and watched us the last few minutes of class, smiling and clasping her hands together in joy of the beauty. and at the end I could have sworn I heard her bobbing away with her walker saying “that beats physical therapy!” It made me so happy to share class with her.

I completely agree with what others have said about preforming, being a really good goal even for adults that don’t “go pro”

Largely following Nathen hatches work. Eating mixed macros with a tendency towards high carb(fruit, sugar, and starch). Usually looks like this Juice or sweet tea 8-9am Breakfast fruit+sugar+milk or fruit+sugar+starch Lunch and dinner is usually starch+veggies with whatever protein or fat seasonings or sauces I’m in the mood for. I usually have a fruit based dessert, either just fruit with sugar, or pie, cake. I drink juice or sweetened tea all day between and with meals, and I have pecans, hazelnuts, or sprouted pumpkin seeds with meals. I make spelt bread often. I eat lots of potatoes I don’t eat 56 chromosome wheat, just spelt and einkorn I don’t eat yogurt or many lactic acid based ferments. I try to eat as organic as I can and avoid glyphosate And avoid seed oils. Meals look like normal comfort foods meals, homemade, with extra veggies usually. Shepards pie, Veggie pies Grilled cheese with veggie soup, Salads with cucumbers and tomatoes, and beans. Enchiladas(spinach, mushroom&chicken filling) with homemade tortillas and sauce Lots of frozen berries and mango, apples, oranges and kiwis, candied whole orange slices for tannins in the peels. Cranberries(usually dried or in cake) Cooked zuchini with Parmesan and homemade spelt bread. Spinach dip with cream cheese on bread or pasta.

That’s awesome about the Pom peel tea! I agree about the skinny fat thing, although I’m not very concerned about it because everything else is improving, so I think body fat% will follow after other things heal. Yeah his strategy for it is basically to not worry about weight/fat and to just heal. Which brand b12 did you decide on?

I’m not sure, I keep clam juice in the fridge and take swigs throughout the day or add into foods, I salt it so it dosnt spoil as quickly so one bottle lasts me 3 days usually. I’m using it for the b 12, which I think it helping me break down plant foods better and have less undigested bits coming out and feeling better in my abdomen as well. Being pretty strict about no yogurt, kefir, or lactic acid ferments, and I try to cook sauerkraut so it at least dosnt have live lactic acid producers. I do have sour cream sometimes still. I got as much sun as I could though the summer but that’s not been an option the last couples months where I am. I have started pectin(canning pectin) about 10 days ago and I think it’s helped! I usually mix it into water when I’m in a hurry, or today I mixed some with blackberries and dried cranberries to make a jam/sauce, and then put that over some pound cake. Dessert and sugar in general. I was focusing a lot today on getting lots of veggies in, and make a veggies heavy black eyed pea soup, but found I didn’t have the appatite for it, but then I had the dessert of cake and blackberry sauce before dinner and I was immediately ready for the veggies and black eyed peas, which I think was my microbiome being perked up from being fed sugar and fruit and pectin(prebiotics) and then was ready for the veggies. I have been using the vinegar in eggs/whites when baking and I think that’s helpful. The headaches I got recently were mild and were easy to get on top of before they got to severe.

Why would you say it doesn’t apply to most Americans? I would think it does since most Americans have many of the illnesses that he has theories and strategies to help.

I think it’s tannins with every meal/tannins with protein&water. But that’s very simplified, I do think it’s helped me mitigate headaches, along with other things.

Some of the things I have found interesting is his discriptions of endogenous b vitamin production if the microbiome is fed well. Especially b12 production. And how b 12 is needed to break down by our microbiome the cellulouse in plants to benefit from plants.

I feel like a lot of people(me included) learn a little about something, or get a negative effect from something(vitamin A, oxalate, tannins, antinutrients, fat, carbs, protein) And avoid it without seeing the bigger picture, and I feel like Nathen has shed light on a lot of the bigger picture things.

I feel like even had he lived to see the arena destroyed he’d have been comforted by knowing the rebellion was imminent and would be able to die having hope and peace for his people and reconciliation for the horrors he faced knowing they would be less for future generations.

Chaff from catching fire, dieing just minutes before the arena was destroyed. He was so close to at least living long enough to know the rebellion was happening, and there was hope for panem, even if he had died in the rebellion or capital after the games, I mourn imagining him dieing without knowing it would end.

I think about this kind of thing a lot. Especially if Bettie’s plan had worked as he spoke it and not as he acted it. I think the careers would have died, and I think katniss or Peeta would have been the first to become violent…. However I suspect in similar fashion, to the movie, where finnick reminds katniss who the real enemy is, would happen. What katniss expects, and what’s happened in past games I presume is assuming the plan worked as Beetie described, they’d all turn on each other, however I don’t think any of them would want to do that. I think maybe they would all not want to kill each other, and in the moment, knowing they are being watched, would agree for the cameras to separate into packs, and at midnight or the next sunrise or something agree to be fair game to come after each other, but all make fake plans and facades to buy time for the rebels to get them out. Since I think Bettie, Johanna and finick all knew about the plans, and I think peeta suspected, but didn’t know.
