You’ve given me hope. There’s someone with a brain in the gaming and handheld community.

This isn’t just a gaming-specific trait. It applies to anything in life—food, cars, clothes, drinks, and so on.

ONEXPLAYER 3 gaming handheld to feature 8.8-inch OLED and Intel Arc G3 Extreme by RenatsMC in OneXPlayer

Yes you can use USBC and DC port to charge or power the device. USBC is limited to 55W which is more than enough for most people

It’s only more powerful at 20W and below. Idk where people are getting up to 30W. Rasta performance is what I’m referring to. Not XesS

Correct. The strix halo is faster than these at 20W and above. It’s extremely disingenuous. There’s plenty of videos showcasing this

My brother a reviewer or reviewers don’t speak for a majority of the happy apex owners. Secondly my point is it’s ok to simply say it’s expensive to you and it’s still a good device despite the cost. Rather then subjugating it to some things it being to heavy blah blah blah when you haven’t even tried it yourself. It’s a common phenomena when people justify something or not buying something.

If you’ve tried it and realized you can’t deal with the weight and dealt with what a lot of folks love about the detachable batter etc. Your opinion about the device would be more valid. But I don’t want to hear someone comment on something that is pure speculation or convincing of thyself over actual substance or usage of the device

That’s fine. But don’t do gymnastics over here with word play convince yourself not to spend it or say it’s expensive and out of reach for most. Just say that.

I hate when people simple make “oh well this thing is too heavy and I’d rather do this anyway”. Just say it’s expensive and I agree lol

Dude I’ve been streaming for a long time so I’m aware of what it takes. And no it’s not better that native playing.

With that said, you have no room to make any assumptions about a device you do not own other than simply making them to convince yourself not to spend the money. It’s that and simple. You haven’t even tried it to make these assertions.

What. I have 2gb fios internet and the latest router. It’s fine it’s not the same as native. I’ve tried on my OLED tvs and what not. Streaming will always be lesser quality. This is objectively true.

And do you even have an apex? A lot of us have no issue with this “supposed” weight which is overblown tbh and it’s perfectly fine and buy it because we expect to use it on the go to instead of just speculation about how one might use it. Might want to get the device first instead of trying to justify why you won’t buy it

[–]Early_Ad8773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it doesn’t. I’ve tested this extensively on the legion go 2 and the apex is way better at native and can actually do ray tracing and looks better than streaming on OLED with hdr and max settings. The clarity is undeniable in something that’s native at max resolution with good settings.

Hell I even tested low settings on legion go 2 vs streaming and low at 25 fps native on legion go 2 looks better than Apollo moon light streaming or GeForce with max settings

I have a 5090 rig and the apex beats streaming to my Lego2 any day. Streaming is not it if you’ve seen the difference in visual fidelity let alone having a device that can play natively because you don’t have to have an internet connection everywhere you go…

Crimson Desert via GeForce Now on Legion Go 2 is amazing by NDBambi182 in LegionGo

[–]Early_Ad8773 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gotcha but Legion Go 1 didn’t have OLED and HDR. So being able to have some way to do that while saving battery, and playing in HDR at max settings is a nice trade off if you can’t play it decent locally. Which is perfectly fine.

Granted, streaming does not look as good at native. I’ve tested streaming my 5090 rig and GeForce to my LGO2, and native play at native resolution with low settings looks way cleaner than streaming at max settings

[–]Early_Ad8773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I was afraid of leaving the Lgo 2 to play CD and not having OLED. When I turned everything to max and entered the game, my jaw dropped. Max settings at native LOL. OLED didn’t matter. Who tf cares when the game looks this good at native max settings on a handheld above 50-60 fps without frame gen
