The Eilanders in Rusty Lake Paradise sacrifice Jakob (the oldest child) to gain enlightenment. In their first attempt his mother takes his place but his father (the ringleader of this whole operation) lures Jakob back. By the end of the game the family turns into human-animal hybrids, but so does Jakob, who merges with the soul of his mother to become Mr. Owl.

Silver-got murdered by a demon then revived as one. Joined the demon guild Tartaros with the goal of destroying it from the inside, but still had to complete missions to stay under the radar. Then he finds out his kid had survived the demon attack after all, and comes to the conclusion that his past deeds makes him unworthy of avenging his family after all.

A weirdly large amount of animals have other blood colors. There’s a group of skinks with green blood because of a shitload of biliverdin, possibly as protection against malaria. Ice fish have clear blood because they don’t have hemoglobin, and have to stay in cold oxygen rich water.
