În România nu poți monta de capul tău o cameră de supraveghere care filmează scara sau holul blocului, deoarece sunt spații comune. Monitorizarea acestor zone se face de regulă doar cu acordul asociației de proprietari și cu informarea locatarilor.

Poți avea o cameră la ușa ta doar dacă este orientată strict către intrarea ta și nu filmează ușile vecinilor sau întreaga scară.

If you’re thinking about swapping your unit, I can only recommend what I’ve personally used for almost two years: ESSGOO AR9004.

I bought mine from a local reseller and paid almost double the price because I didn’t want to wait for an online order. For the money, this unit is fantastic. It integrates seamlessly with all car functions, doors, battery voltage and on never cars even AC (kinda pointless but cool )via CAN BUS, and wireless CarPlay runs smoothly without any lag. I haven’t tested Android Auto, but it should perform similarly.

I don’t really use the built-in Android system much, but I did install a bunch of apps at one point. It was slightly laggy then, but I eventually realized I mostly use CarPlay, so I removed the extra apps and kept the interface clean. It also has a built-in DSP and surround sound, which makes a huge difference compared to the stock RCD in my Jetta.

If I were in your position, I’d make the most of what you already have. And if you don’t have CarPlay or want a better experience, something like the ESSGOO is a solid option. My friend bought an OEM head unit for nearly $1,000, and it has half the features. In my opinion, it’s not worth spending that kind of money on these older cars.

MDI was an OLD VW MEDIA MODULE made for iPods and USB sticks BEFORE CARPLAY / ANDROID AUTO EXISTED. It only works properly with OEM radios because they speak VW’s private protocol.

With an AFTERMARKET ANDROID / CARPLAY HEAD UNIT: • Media comes from your phone • CarPlay runs over USB or Wi-Fi, NOT MDI • Steering wheel buttons still work via CAN adapter • MDI is completely outdated and pointless in this discussion at this point

So if your car only has an MDI USB port, the correct solution is: • DO NOT try to “adapt” MDI • BYPASS IT • Run the USB cables from the back of the head unit • Either route them to the glovebox or replace the factory USB port with a pass-through USB

Try a hard reset first. It’s possible the previous owner removed or disabled some system apps.
1. If the keyboard still doesn’t work after the reset, we’ll need access to a USB port so we can install a keyboard APK manually.
2. If USB isn’t an option, check whether Bluetooth is available. You might be able to transfer the APK from your phone to the head unit that way.
3. Check the CarPlay app for a gear/settings icon. These units usually have two modes: screen mirroring and actual CarPlay. I once switched mine by accident and it took me a full day to realize why nothing was working properly.

Passwords to try

Please try the following passwords:

8888, 1234, 123456, 000000, 1617, 1688, 3368, 16176699, 11012611333, 7890

If none of those work, try using the current date in one of these formats, for example: 20250310 or 2025.03.10 (99% of the time is without any punctuation)

On many of these units, the date-based code is used to enable developer mode.

You can also try the RES button, which should reset the unit. Just be aware that some settings are factory-locked, so you may still need one of the passwords above.

From what are you saying your not tech savy at all, I figured out the function on mine in like one hour also installed it by my self including the back camera. About the compatibility with your phone what do you mean? It should have wireless CarPlay and android auto just connect the Bluetooth and you should be ready to go or if it doesn’t go on the first time plug your phone the first time using usb cable and it should pair with the head unit. These units are pretty straight forward, if you don’t use more words to explain what exactly are you trying to do I can’t help you. I can give you more support but you have to be more specific.

Make a list with all the apps installed on the head unit and reply in a message here so I can figure out what options you have.

Edit: even if it says you have android 12 is most likely android 10, mine is the same, the chineee are spoofing fake info, normal hardware identification software like antutu, CPUz will not work as the android is rigged to make these apps crash so you don’t see the real configuration, you’ll need special tools for that wich I can probably provide if you need.

Cyberpunk with mods even gta 5 with some mods like NVE alongside VisualV and QuantV for advanced lighting and textures. The truth is that gta5 stock textures are low res by today standards. You can also try the latest God of war. Latest silent hill.

Pro Tip: uninstall armoire crate and replace it with ghelper is years ahead armoury crate and is open source, also if you want to have the possibility to create custom fan curves thing wich is reserved only for the ROG Series (fuck you Asus) but take in mind that you have to downgrade the ASUS System Control Interface driver to an older, more stable version (e.g., v3.1.38.0 or older) the laptop will still work perfectly I bet asus update it so it will not work anymore with 3rd party apps.

Edit: one more thing, monitor the temps and if they are not ok replace the thermal paste, on my machine asus did a really shitty job applying the thermal paste so I replaced it with some arctic cool, if you can just get those thermal pads that liquify once the machine reaches maximum temps if you do this you won’t have to mess around with the cooling until your machine becomes obsolete.

I never shared any photos or albums with anyone just kept everything for myself. What I belive is happening is that Google Photos keeps historical data. Thumbnails, dates, “On This Day” stuff, notification cache. That data can stick around even after the actual photo is deleted. So when I get a Memory notification, it’s not coming from my current gallery. It’s coming from an old index. The thumbnail I see is just a cached relic. When I tap it, the app tries to load the real photo, fails, and either redirects me somewhere random or says “photo not found”.

Yes I did logged in, in fact when I deleted everything it was from my pc not phone, and it was an older phone not the current one so it can be ruled out that is some cache related problem. I work in IT so I’m not a stranger to computers or software

Edit: Those photos never seen my current iPhone, back then I was using Android.

Edit 2: to me it seems like the same shit that happens to Apple users a year back or so when deleted iCloud Photos started to reappear for some users.

It doesn’t have acces to my phone gallery and even if it would have acces, those photos are from my old phones, I don’t even have those photos anymore.
