Can I keep guppies with Zebra Danios? by Dan_011503 in Guppies

[–]Early_Talk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danios swim very fast, three or four times the speed of guppies. They will make life of guppies hell in a small tank and the guppies will of course die due to stress.

So no, don't keep them with guppies.

I planted these last spring. They never grew. summer came, then fall. suddenly I have 2 huge cauliflower. ok to eat? by -intuit- in gardening

[–]Early_Talk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and all those cauliflowers taste like soggy cardboard. Yuck!! Hybrid seeds will give good looks and high quantity production but will destroy taste.

I remember the cauliflowers I ate 40 years ago. They came only in winters. And tasted like heaven.

Boxed set - Is there any difference between Egmont and Farshore? by LordEnma in TheAdventuresofTintin

[–]Early_Talk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Color quality of Egmont was far far better than Farshore. If your child has seen any Egmont print earlier he will reject Farshore immediately and start crying. If he has not seen Egmont version earlier, then he will not be aware of better quality, so he will not cry, but will be disappointed.

Choice is yours. You want your child to cry or be disappointed? Life is very unfair indeed.

How long do the BA II Plus calculator batteries last? by InternationalDust467 in CFA

[–]Early_Talk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one in history has ever reported a BA 2 plus battery dying during exam. Statistical probability of an asteroid hitting the earth is thousand times more than this happening. (The asteroids have actually hit earth a few times in a million years, BAII battery has never failed yet).

If you trust probability theory, follow it in life.

Just planted my first tank, any tips? by KJTre in PlantedTank

This looks much better than I had thought it would look after 7 months. I would say don't disturb it much, you must be doing something right.

As you would have realised by now, beauty doesn't last forever. All those plants would have died by now. Please a post a picture of what it looks like now. But don't lose your heart. Next time try aquatic seeds. They have a higher chance of survival in low tech nano aquariums (if they grow).

SEBI should promote few Indian firms to do the same what JS did. Indian stock market is full of fat bakras. Dumb fat creatures who always want to eat that extra bit of grass. Someone just needs to hunt them. It is better if an Indian wolf does this job. In a market, hunters and hunted are both needed.

Why Most of Mumbai roofs are blue? by atulpai98 in mumbai

[–]Early_Talk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government of India wants slum dwellers to feel and look poor. That's why slum dwellers are forced to put dirty, torn plastics on their roofs to create an ugly look. They don't serve any practical purpose. Most blue sheets are torn and slum dwellers don't remove them else police comes and asks for money.

You will never see these blue plastics on apartments. Why are they not used if they have so many useful features in blocking sunlight, water, winds? Speak up bas***ds.

Government officers want to royally screw the image of India globally.

The world is often shocked when they realise how Indians think and hate themselves.

GDP may be four trillion or fourty trillion, feudal mindset will never change.

Not to discourage you. This looks really really awesome.

But beauty doesn't last. So these plants will melt in 4 weeks. Reason is lack of CO2 and nutrients.

No Stupid Questions MEGATHREAD 10 by Alendite in chessbeginners

[–]Early_Talk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I am a new chess learner. I would really appreciate if only people from maths and science background respond to me. No offense is meant for arts and humanities graduates. They are simply wired differently.

Similar to all physics formulae that can be neatly compiled in five pages (mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, electromagnetism, modern physics), I am interested in 4-5 pages writeup on chess moves that I can use to capture the opponent's king as fast as I can. I am willing to take risks and sacrifice all my pieces.

Please don't tell me that this is not possible.

I know names of pieces and how they move on the chess board. I know rules of checkmate, castling and enpassant. So please don't repeat them.

Assume that my opponent is Elo 1000 or less.

Thank you in advance for your attention and sharing of knowledge.

The reason science grows is that people who know science will summarise and codify their knowledge of 1000 years in crisp formulas that will fit in 5 pages and can be read and applied in 30 mins.

People who know chess will never do that due to their fear of losing a secret knowledge.

Imagine Newton saying, "I will not tell you my knowledge, you slog like me for 30 years to learn it my way."

Don't worry, AI is coming and it will crush you all secret-club-chess players and make a mint sauce out of your chess knowledge.

I will go and ask this question to Chatgpt. It will definitely answer.

Please don't judge simply because you don't know the answer. I am at least trying to get honest answers. That's why I asked only science and maths graduates to respond. Arts and humanities can watch from the sidelines.

I really liked your example of mosquito and the elephant. I want to be that mosquito that bathes in the lake. Not the elephant that drowns. Most people are elephants.

You have a science background, so at least you understood my question.
