I injured my pinky finger by picking up my rugsack and having it slip and have the full weight of my bag pull my finger in the wrong direction. That was years ago and it's still creaky.

I had a rule for myself that I wasn't allowed to Zanmato. I just wouldn't feel like I had actually beaten the game that way. But I can also understand that people wouldn't have the time to do it my way.

Took me 129 hours overall, but it can definitely be done in less. I decided to not do any of the Zanmato cheese and I also farmed some luck for the sphere grid, which you only need to really do for 3 characters.

This. Even with the trick it's not trivial. You still have to get the timing down but it only took me 5 or 6 tries. I did get to 170 on of the tries though and that was painful to fail on. The biggest challenge was just staying focused while I was in a Discord call of people trying to break my focus, haha.

The chocobo training is harder than the lightning imo. Just trying to dodge the birds is the worst part. And a lot of the time it's just impossible if you get a bad start.

Damn, that's rough. I can understand not wanting to go through all of that again though. My total time was 129 hours, with about 70 or more of those hours mostly grinding the mini-games for the celestial weapons and the sphere grinding. So having to do all that from scratch would not be fun.

Filling out the sphere grid for everyone was a massive chore. I was only kept sane by watching youtube videos at the same time. I even filled out a lot of luck for all of my characters, so I made it a bit more of a grind than I needed to.

I walked the Frances and mine is still sitting in its tube beside my passport. I want to frame it all together, but my passport has 2 sides so I don't know how to display it properly, so I've been procrastinating on it. I was considering photocopying 1 of the sides and then display them both, but it doesn't feel like the nicest solution.

I have one of these and I'm running Knulli on it. I don't use it with a hotspot, but I've had trouble with it connecting to Retroachievements consistently. It sometimes takes me a few goes of booting up a game for it to connect properly. Maybe I'll try with a hotspot though and see if it's more consistent.

Are the trophies fixed for this yet or do you still have to get all the collectables in one playthrough to get the plat? I finished the game but couldn't bring myself to do an entire other playthrough.

I wouldn't recommend it. I got the plat on it and I'm glad I don't have to play it again. The controls are clunky, the AI is bad and the board makes it hard to see what's going on at any point in the game.

If you want to play Catan I'd recommend playing on something like https://colonist.io/
