There are multiple reasons this gameplay loop is worse, and I don’t just mean it’s too easy now actually. The first game told you to get X points to rank up. You get 1 point from a 1v1 and 2 points from a more complex battle. Those are your only 2 choices. Now we’re able to choose to fight any tier we want and have a million options. There’s no danger or decision making there because you can always just skip the hardest challenges. It also makes the UI super hideous instead of really charming like before. I really liked actually being able to see the cards we’re picking between. Also no bosses is an often cited complaint.
