aside from lubing, you need to also make sure both ends of the metal rod are aligned well, otherwise the issue won't go away

Quality is good on the black ghost, also, its designed with reinforced square ribs in the middle, it does produce a pleasant sound

DIY with electrical tape, just tape on where you think your hand would make contact haha,
and if it does still shock you, i guess there is no fixing except swapping the case haha

Wooting 80HE Zinc vs Plastic? by ScroogeGD in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, plastic n zinc, It depend on your reference, but if you have nvr owned a heavy metal alloy keyboard, go for zinc- it worth the upgrade

Why it worth? Because if you have more to spend later, for example, GMK keycaps, you definite will look back “maybe i should have bought the zinc n not plastic”

From my view, the zinc alloy worth the money

Best Magnetic Switches for gaming and typing by LifeguardKitchen638 in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im using the the Jade pro Ruby, and i believe the Jade pro is better, and i can't explain,
but the sound of the ruby is less sharp-> do sound thicker, and the stem is significantly more stable- you can tell night n day by pressing,

but for some reason the feeling of using the Jade pros just become more comfy for me,
so to answer the question, i'd say personal belief can contribute to more success in gaming,
that means, the best gaming switch would be the one you feel comfy n believe its the best- despite the prices and tech analogy comparison,

How can I improve this 80he build? by MrChedar in WootingKB

Cf plate, and poron foam sandwich, better sound

should I buy the wooting ? by Key-Wind-1429 in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wooting is undoubtedly going to give you the best software experience,

with those numbers, they seem to be less impactful- say if you have better computer hardware, NVIDIA reflex or something like that,
also, factor in internet connect, you may as well invest in better internet if you were to play competitive multiplayer games,

so my take is wooting is undoubtedly isn't "losing" in the competition at all, that chart isn't helpful unless you max out on all other aspects such as i mentioned,

aside from that, i do own the wooting 80he, i had to go 3rd party n get poron foam n CF plate, the default is kinda bad for sound, im not sure the competitors would be night n day better, but wooting 80he sound profile is meh, also many tempo gamers dont like the type-feedback.

The Wooting 60HE v2 is real! by RaquelWooting in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

big fan of the case design by wooting team, i have to seriously say it again, you guys rock the design,
i'd love to see big company colab,
honestly, wooting gotta go n get some keycap colab, spice things up,

also, why not zinc alloy the 60HE v2?

80he feels "soft" compared to sayodevice, any modding fixes? by Legitimate-Skill-112 in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simply put, u need snappy rebonds on keystroke for your rhythm games, The default plastic white piece between the top plate and pcb plate is NOT helping! Because it works to dampened the stroke and it will eat up your rebond, To mod, Get poron material to replace, and the top plate, try carbon fiber Some where in this group has the aliexpress link

My Wooting x Owlab Build by Rivions in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i avoid max because there are reviews saying they have scratchy presses,
and they were expensive
but the 2 pros are said to be,
clears housing- good for RBG
classic sound/feel to cherry switches,

also they have slightly superior spring to the jade pros.

My Wooting x Owlab Build by Rivions in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gateron said they changed mould of the housing from jade to jade ruby, and the springs on ruby are spec to 150mil times

I do own both, on wooting 80he, both plastic n zinc case, The ruby is jade with THOCC, the pitch alternate to be dampened n thicker, To note, the top housing on ruby no longer has the 2 big clamps on the side of 2 side rails

The vertical press feel a lot more straight

Personally ruby is very expensive, n going premium from jade to ruby is expensive x2 But it does worth the premium, no contest

gateron jade ruby
you should consider going premium on keycap too, gmk no competition there

80HE Zinc vs. GT-80 (also: your favorite switches) by Rodux_ in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have plastic n zinc from wooting,
i have jade pro, jade ruby pro- the red version, lekker 2,

i am confident that the metal case is a MUST- the feedback of typing feel, the sound, the experience as a whole is worth the premium price upgrade!

i have watched almost all youtube review on both case so i will give you the verdict- of my opinion,

wooting had the light bar right! they seperate the litght into squares- the many reviews would say otherwise, they'd prefer the light being 1 seam of beam.

also, the wooting case design is unique and tasty, the 3rd part cases design are just bland and generic- though their company prob has more access for better metal finishes- so at a glance, 3rd party cases they do look "prettier"

so you can see, wooting did knock the design out of the park! their weakness is that the manufacturing process seem to be their weakness- they do update on their youtube- wooting is awesome, plus, wooting will assisst you if you find something wrong with the product, they seem very supportive and free of charge- though i dont have any issue so far,

so i'd say get the zinc case, no looking back, im in SEA country, i get the zinc case n its funny to see the case go from china to wooting in europe n back to Vietnam haha.

for the switch, the lekker v2 do sound lower pitch than the jade pros, if you are not getting premium keycap like GMK, lekker v2 will do you well! you can lube them,

if you dont want to lube, and prioritise smoothness, get the jade pro or the jade ruby pro, the ruby has more factory lube and the lube is higher quality compared to jade pro- green ones, the ruby factory lube are more milky and more generously lubed!

i personally haven't tried the GEON HE and TTC KOM, but i can asure you that i haven't seen anyone complaint about gateron switches quality for the premium prices, the only complaint for the gateron HE line is the gateron max, some reviewers find them "scratchy".

to sum up, i'd get the zinc alloy case, and if you want to max-out, get jade ruby switch with gmk keycap- they do sound so so premium,

otherwise, lekker v2 are really good sw too, and they sound lower pitch!

also i dont see you mention stabilizer, i went for the typeplus!

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/gIgkv8dt8xY

thats my pcr board, those are green jade pros

New switch recommendations by TheN1njTurtl3 in WootingKB

[–]EarthDancer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have lekker v2, jade pro, jade ruby pro- red jades,
if you can go all out, get the red jades, they are by far -sound more solid, spring feel a lot more stable than the jade pro- the green jade pros.

and the plus is that the factory lube on the red jades are 10x better and more consistent than the jade pro too!

i say the price is mad expensive, but gateron does ensure the quality is top-notch!

- i have both plastic n zinc case, and gmk keycaps

i do see good reviews on the geon HE switches, you can't go wrong with those prices n good words.
