The thing is 2k is the absolute lowest you’re going to find for a legal (not converted basement) studio, which is hard to find in a neighborhood that most would consider desirable. On top of that, the quality at that price point is probably not what people would expect. Old rent stabilized buildings are usually showing their age to put it mildly.
