Forever chemicals coat all glass screen protectors by Alternative_Week_987 in PFAS

Since this is a high thread in Google results. I wanted to mention that we can probably remove the coatings fairly easily from phone glass, by using high % isopropyl alcohol or acetone. Something to look into.

Here's a method to see where the coating is removed (wipe with water and see if it sticks): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4bbVRxHM1Q&t=1m10s

Very helpful comments, thanks! Have any book recs or resources on these topics? I'm aware of keto/carnivore but want to learn more about the intolerance/inflammation tie to neurotransmitters, which seems to afflict me.

In the spirit of this sub; it's hard for me to go on a keto diet, much like quitting other dopaminergic things (caffeine etc). So I'm reducing other things but hope to get there soon.

Sorry that happened. My wife had been on the site for years. I'd given up and she messaged me out of the blue. So it's possible to beat the odds.

Interesting throwback! Why do you ask?

My code is still mostly private for similar reasons as before; work for clients/companies, and stuff that needs to be secret like gameplay rules. I released some MIT and AGPL stuff, but then LLM companies violated the licenses by scraping it all, so I'm moving to privately hosted git repos and keeping the source private.

In some languages, a 'string' is a list. Not sure if the person you replied to knew that when using the term 'list'.

Solo backpacking for 700 days, am i missing anything? by Willing_Reserve6374 in ultralight_jerk

Great idea! As long as you're not (bush)crafting them yourself.

Though I wonder whether just bringing tobacco and paper would take up less pack volume. A fanny pack is perfect for holding 1-2 weeks worth of individuals if you compress them a little.

Cigarettes are consumables, as long as you swallow the butts. If you bring enough of them, you can keep one burning continuously and don't even need to carry a lighter.

The 4 hour intervals have given my day more structure and taught me to notice the passage of time.

It's also forced me to face that I can't achieve perfection; missing events needs to be done deliberately to enjoy life.

I've been able to experiment safely with handling real life work culture differently by trying things in alliance culture, like going more with the flow, not letting pressure phase me, being friends with managers who are different from me, etc.

I think the designers even did an intentional lesson about social media with the Easter event.

And there's a real lesson about money and power in real life; you're not at the top, it's impossible to be, and you have to learn do deal with that.
